MUZAFFARABAD, PAKISTAN (ANS) -- In an horrific incident of Christian persecution on September 1, some unidentified militants slew two children of a missionary couple who is working with At Any Cost Jesus Mission, a underground ministry evangelizing to the Muslim nations.

A press release sent via e-mail to ANS by Any Cost Jesus Mission said that the assailants torched the dead bodies of teenaged children Shalom, 15 and Sharon 14 after murdering them brutally in the northern district of Pakistan. The teenaged victims according to the press release were secondary school students.

“Shalom and Sharon were kidnapped along with their missionary parents and two other younger sisters 10 days before the murder. The militants asked them to convert to Islam but they refused,” said the press release.

“So the militants killed Shalom first. Then they raped the girl and cut one of her breasts in front of her parents. She too died”, the press release quoted another underground missionary, Habel who it said broke the news to Any Cost Jesus Mission from a hidden place.

Police and the military forces are backing the militants. Habel and his family was also attacked and their house was burnt but the Lord enabled them to escape to a hidden place. They (militants) also demolished a church and some houses were set on fire too”, the evangelization ministry claimed in the press release.

According to the press release the militants set the motorbike on fire by spraying petrol on it and left the dead bodies in a ditch along with a motorbike.

“The police declared a false statement that it was an accident and the petrol tank of the bike was open when they fell into the ditch and burnt by a spark”, alleged Any Cost Jesus Mission.

The press release said that the believers are living in a grip of fear and trouble following the killing of Shalom and Sharon.

The ministry further claimed in the press release that the militants are not allowing believers to pray.

“They are not even allowed to speak a single word about Christ or Christianity or Christians”, the press release quoted Habel as saying.

The tribal people and their leaders are also being murdered by the terrorists in the Neelum Valley, it said.

"The parents did their Christian duty and brought up their children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord," and the Holy Spirit enabled them to confess the name of Jesus in the face of death,"

It wasn't their Christian duty to bring their children to a barbaric, Christian-hating hellhole like Pakistan. The Apostles and disciples left family to proclaim the Word, they didn't drag their children along with them. Islam has shown itself to be completely closed to conversion over the centuries, and to be murderously hateful to Christians. I would take my children to live in a medieval, tribal, barbaric islamic nation when Hell freezes over, and not one day sooner.

And if they go off on a mission and leave the kids behind they are guilty of child abandonment.
If they aren't responsible enough to take care of their children they shouldn't have them.

parent gives 16 son 1200cc motorcycle and kids crashes and dies - kid's or motorcycle's fault

parent gives 16 year old kid rifle and kid shoots self or other person - gun's fault.

parent leaves child in custody of a reformed pedophile uncle and kid is molested - uncle's fault.

She knows the risk, after talking to some of the people that went on the last two trips our church did. She wants to go as much or more than anyone else in our family.

She trusts the people at our church, our partners on the ground, her parents, and (mostly) God.

Are you serious? Your kind blames the U.S. for 911.It's the killers not the parents fault !!!!

Leaving aside your false generalization, are you seriously suggesting that the parents have no responsibility for bringing their children into an area known for its murderous acts against Christians?

Please...

I read a book by a convert to Christianity from Islam, he complained that the Christians in Eygpt were too afraid to witness to Muslim. I felt like screaming at him when I read that. This is why Christians in Eygpt lay low. As a mother, I totally understand.

And I hope these poor children's mother knows that the Lord is kind and merciful and has welcome her babies home.

If you're going to a place that will require you to "watch your daughter like a hawk", why are you taking her there? I consider our own town to be a place where I "watch my daughter like a hawk", as did my parents, and their parents before them.

For someone who speaks so knowingly about what how a christian should be, you sure are judgemental about others "opinions" and choices.

And I didn't see the blame being put on the parents/victims. I only saw the clear and valid point about how the parents SHOULD NOT have put their kids in harms way in Pakistan.

Agree or not, it's your choice, as is mine. And I won't even judge you for it.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman..."

Refuse to answer God's call to serve as a missionary in this particular place or

Refuse to answer God's call to parent your own children, and surrender them to someone else to raise.

That kinda lays it out. I, for one, would not take my children to Pakistan - but then again, I don't feel I have been called by God to go there, either.

This might draw some fire, but I accuse the parents of gross neglect of the welfare of their minor children.

Thank Youuuuuuuu.

I wish these guys would get the 'ole Amalekite treatment.

The Destruction of the Amalekites

The Amalekites attacked the Israelites without apparent provocation as they were travelling during the Exodus (Ex 17:8). "When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind" (Dt 25:17-18). They later attacked Israel during the time of the Judges (Jdg 3:13) and often raided the Israelites' land after they had planted crops, leaving them with nothing (Jdg 6:2-5). God punished the Amalekites by ordering Saul to destroy them (1 Sam 15:2-3) - over 300 years after they had first attacked Israel. During that time, the Amalekites had contact with the Israelites and would have heard about God. They could have repented and changed their ways, but they continued to raid and plunder other cities up to the time of Saul and David (1 Sam 30:1-3). The Amalekites that Saul and David warred against were clearly no better than their ancestors who had first waylaid Israel.

But then there are the FReepers who complain that "Jews for Jesus" missionaries who come to Israel to convert Jews are not welcomed with open arms, leis, and boxes of chocolate.

Well said. The Muslims are the one who killed two children. The parents are not to blame.

Otherwise we will end up blaming the Amish for the murder of their children ("how dare those Amish live a counter-cultural life in America, it just attracts the crazies"). Or blaming the Iraqis for the death of their children in suicide attacks("they should have kept them away from Americans giving out sweets - that's just reckless endangerment")

We must put the blame where it belongs: on Islam. Otherwise we will lose.

It's not the muslims' fault. The kids had Jewish names.

In fact, God told me to stay the hell away from any nation where the followers of the pedophile prophet predominate.

Way back in the very late 90's I knew a couple from our homeschool group who were leaving for Pakistan. They had been there before as missionaries.

I gave her a copy of this writing by James Jatras, but she dismissed it for the most part.

She told me about a school they were planning to send their kids to in Pakistan, one for English/Americans in the country.

Anyway I was horrified at the time that they were taking their kids into Pakistan.
