Scripturally speaking, when God called someone to go into a dangerous place, He generally expected the individual to take his children along. Therefore, it would seem to me that, in God's eyes, these missionaries were taking care of their children.

You have protected their bodies, and abandoned their souls. While you may not believe that, if the shoe was on the other foot, they could make a much more powerful case of irresponsibility than you.
