[history]
THE Dixie Chicks' biggest detractor, FreeRepublic.com founder Jim Robinson, declined to appear in their documentary, "Shut Up and Sing."
[ Snip]
Robinson's rep, Kristinn Taylor, confirmed he ducked the interview: "He told me to go ahead and do it."

That would be like talking to a glass of water about what the ocean tides are doing.
I'm proud you didn't sucker for this idiocy.
To: Pharmboy
than have a real discussion
It would be too easy.
Recall when Brian Kilmeade verbally destroyed Jeanane Garofalo on Fox & Friends --- and Brian is the sports guy. Garfy came, intellectually unarmed. Garfy has never visited F&F since.
Robinson against the Ditzy Chick. That wouldn't even be fair.

Al Franken can't sell his lousy books unless Rush's name is in the title, either. Conservatives should start taking these people to court for trading on their names.

Gee I'm sure they wouldn't have edited your comments to make you look bad. /s

Really...sounds like a classic set-up to me. Even if Jim had an actual debate with these nuts all they would do is cut and paste and take everything out of context. Jim's ideas already won the day! Game, Set, Match!

I wonder if Mr. Johnson would be willing to field questions on FR?

It must be embarassing for them to have to troll for publicity by mentioning us all the time. Maybe they need hits for their fan website to make it look like they actually haves some?

The problem is he can edit what he says afterwards and do the same to you.
If Johnson was a man, he'd agree to come on FR.

Before Natalie ran her mouth you heard the Chicks as often as any of the top country stars on the radio. Now I rarely have to change the radio station because I hear one of their songs maybe once a week.

The next obvious step for Jim Rob is getting mentioned on Page Six in the same paragraph as Paris Hilton or Lindsey Lohan.

I am sure Jim Robinson would be happy to submit to a real uncensored, unedited discussion about Free Republic.
He is too smart to submit to a hit piece where his words will be edited to make him appear to be a fool, in a stupid documentary about 3 women who have such a hatred for their native country that they go oversea's to attack its President.
Free Republic isnt the enemy of the Dixie Chicks, their enemy is subservience by two of them and the big mouth of the fat third who is married to an Iranian and should sing her songs and STFU.

You Da MAN! I see the Dixie Chicks (hangs head in shame because I'm from the south) have found a convenient scape goat for their total lack of talent. I don't doubt they feel persecuted... but they brought it on themselves. And getting into a serious discussion requires both parties to come to the table willing to discuss issues. Not one willing to discuss and the other wanting to accuse.
