The following are photographs sent to me by SoldiersPrayingMom of the Freep held this weekend. She says that lots of drivers honked enthusiastically! Thought you all would like to see them.

The D.C. Chapter ties...

Hay how much are they and can I see a picture of them?

Who knew that the DC chapter had their own line of ties just like Rush Limbo!

What always kills me is those inevitable clear azure blue Californy skies ...

Often they are a not so lovely shade of smog gray when the prevailing winds blow the particulates down from the Bay Area. But I think autumn is our clearest time of year and the skies are a pretty blue most days.

I went to college in Chico in the 80s. I remember the professors telling us about the Vietnam era there at CSU and about the agriculture guys and the hippies squaring off by the Bell Memorial Union. Sounds like kids who arent getting into Berkeley are moving up there; I am sorry to hear this. It IS a shame.

Thank both your sons for their service.

Yes, Chico has more than it's share of libs for such a small town (relatively). There aren't many who will stand against the libs here either.

I attended Chico State, earning a B.A. and then my M.A. in Psychology. I felt that I had to keep my political, moral, and ethical beliefs to myself in order to complete my courses without reprecusions.

I will pass along your thanks to my son and nephew.
