(I suppose it is true that soon everyone will need a passport to travel to Canada.)

Good.

This reveals blatant corruption on the part of the judges. What's wrong with showing ID? I've been doing it ever since I can remember in my state.

The only objection to showing ID is to facilitate voter fraud.

Yawn. The most overturned court in America will be overturned again soon.

I don't like the supreme court. Even with John G. Roberts and Samuel Alito, it's still a little too much to the left. But I thank God it's there as a check to overrule that insane 9th circuit.

Split the 9th Circus in two. Fill the new seats with strict constructionists to dilute the poisoning effect of the 9th's leftist agenda.

The key to stopping illegals from voting is to ensure there are NO illegals in the country to vote.

Once you place government mandated documentation requirements on the RIGHT of US citizens to vote, you risk allowing the government to impose unreasonable requirements.

Should you be required to PROVE who you are to publish a political flyer/newspaper? A blog?

Should you be required to prove who you are to purchase a firearm? Yes, I know that is a current requirement.

I just caution the lovers of liberty to be careful what they wish for...

How do we get the 9th Circuit judges OFF the bench?

Congress has the authority to dissolve this court at any time they see fit. In fact, they can dissolve every Federal Court save the SCOTUS and establish new ones.

It is reasonable to require documentation that proves that one is a citizen in order to vote. It is not reasonable to require documentation to do all the other things you list.

BTW, there is no unalienable right to vote in this country without proving citizenship.

"Not in NJ, you're not. It has to be done in person."

That's right! Even with a picture license. The new license will be one of those tamper-proof digital ones. After being the only state in the union with a non-picture license, we go to state-of-the-art! I'm delighted, altho it is a pain in the neck to have to dig up all the required IDs. But if it helps to knock of fraud at the voting booth, I'm all for it ----- IF you are required to show it.

Who is in back of these new licenses, do you know?

In GA you can renew it online. And if you pay the larger $30 fee, it won't have to be renewed again for ten years.

After the midterms, assuming we hold both sides of the legislature, I believe it will be attempted.

Yesterday, I had to show a license to get a non--prescription medicine that is kept behind the counter. Wonder what those with no license do? Can they sue, too?

Good

When do you think it becomes overkill?

BTW, One of the things that counts more than my laminated driver's license (with my picture and my address) is my pilot's license which is just a piece of paper issued 30 years ago. (with no picture and an old address)

I don't think I've ever been asked for identification where I vote. I just give them a name and then sign a book and a piece of paper. The identification I'm talking about has nothing to do with voting.

Are we really that surprised? The liberals in this country don't want to disenfranchise their voter block by making them prove their actually citizens of the this country. Just another attempt to kill this country.

Oh if I were president..................

And that also the reason the Rats are trying so desperately hard to advance the notion that it is really the Republicans that are engaging in vote fraud.

If you have been observing the Democrats for a while, you will realize that they always accuse the Republicans of tactics that Democrats use regularly.

National ID card would be ideal. Make it a national security issue. That ID card should be tied to driving, voting and social security. Finger print and photo on it included.
