Foleygate May Turn Into CREWgate

The FBI, which keeps meticulous records and has no reason to spin this mess, is now claiming that CREW had the emails as early as April and that they were so heavily redacted the FBI could not do much with them - so says the Washington Post:

Law enforcement officials said then that the e-mails did not provide enough evidence of a possible crime to warrant a full investigation. In the e-mails, Foley praises the physical attributes of one page and asks another teenager for his picture.

In subsequent days, unidentified Justice and FBI officials told reporters that the e-mails provided by CREW were heavily redacted and that the group refused to provide unedited versions to the FBI. One law enforcement official — speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation — also told The Washington Post the FBI believed that CREW may have received the e-mails as early as April and that the group refused to tell the FBI how they were obtained.

April! If CREW was so worried about the well being of these Pages why wait until July to release them to authorities if they had them in April. And as someoneMichael Barone pointed out tonight on Fox News, Crew could have provided the emails to Democrat members of the Page and Ethics Committees of the House - but they did not! Why? Why give useless versions only to the FBI in July?

What the Post is not reporting is CREW mentioned on CNN their source was a Hill Staffer. And how long did the Hill Staffer have these emails? Why is CREW obstructing the investigation?

Just from what I heard and saw of the CREW lawyer lady, I have to believe her. She was very forthright and made strong, clear declarative statements.

I saw her on cSpan .. and I will give her credit for sounding very forthright

Though if you listen to her carefully and then compare it to the facts of history she leaves one to shake their heads in amazement at how she just dismisses any activity done by the democrat side

She may be good at throwing words around ... but she is far from being honest

She is being a lawyer representing her client ... George Soros

I know about CREW/Soros. But even the Nazis, Communist and Democrats can be factually correct.

She didn't imply the FBI was wrong, She said, multiply times, quote, "The FBI is lying. The FBI are lying. That is a lie." Period, unquote.

I was really stunned. Her statements were totally in the FBI's face.

CREW vs the FBI? That's a tough one. But, I began to think about it. The FBI look into a Congressman? Maybe a little slow? I am not sure about the time line of when they got this info, and based on the stink Denny "Fat Coach" Hastert made about the raid on the $90k in a democrats freezer, It wouldn't be odd that the FBI would drag it's feet on reading Republican emails.

Based on what I saw, I going with the CREW lady. She was all over the FBI.

Anyways, none of this would of happened this way if Hastert and the Republican socalled leadership, gag, weren't so slow, stupid, dumb, clusterfu*ked.

So she is a good actor!! I have a hard time believing any of these so called "watchdog" groups on either side of the political world. They all have an agenda. My real question is why did they wait till less than two months before the election to drop this bomb. Me thinks that this was their objective all along. Foley was scum and he is now gone. I have no doubt that there are a few more like him left in congress and the GOP does not have a corner on them.

Hastert should of known that this would of come out, and that if the Democrats find out that they would use it. Which of course the Democrats did find out and used it through CREW who ever for the most effect, a la 'October Surprise'.

Of course Hastert admits they kept the info away from the Democrat congressperson who also deals with the pages. So Hastert knew this was troublesome.

Hastert and company tried to manage this Foley mess. And it blew up and came out in the worse way, at the worse time with the most effect on Republicans. Who's fault is that? The Democrats? That Hastert gave them this on a sliver platter and even made it look like he covered it up?

Of course one has to give Hastert and the leadership a small pass because it is obvious that they couldn't see a political move two steps forward. It is just too beyond them.

I don't blame Democrats for acting like Democrats. I blame Hastert for not figuring it out. But then I don't think he is capable.

She stated, on camera, clearly, that they gave it too the FBI the day they got the email. And she stated that the FBI lied.

She as a lawyer, more or less, begged the FBI to come and get her. She obviously was a sharp lawyer. Right now if I had to place a bet, I'd go with her vs the FBI. The lady CREW lawyer seemed to be arguing with the facts on her side and pounding away with them.

This CREW lady lady lawyer could be the whole linchpin of who knew what when.

Anyways, do you think that Foley was the only homo or straight Congressman chasing pages? Also yesterday the Congress established a investigating committee and said they would have a report in weeks. Usually this takes a year. Funny how when the media and press, getting out of spin control, starts looking into hitting on kids, the Congress acted faster than anyone can remember. They, Republicans and Democrats want this over and done with and contained to just Foley, and only Foley. The FBI doesn't want to even go within a hundred miles of this and risk Congress cutting their budget. Any Agent that pursues this, his/her career is toast.
