ABC Just Exposed What They Are Really Up To!
10/05/06

Posted on 10/05/2006 6:33:36 PM PDT by ArmyBratproud

I just saw where ABC is claiming that 3 Pages, who won't give names and are giving "verbal accounts", offering no documentation of physical evidence, were approached by Foley.

After looking at the ABC article, it looks like ABC is in panic mode since the Drudge Report broke the story that friends of one of the Page's who was an IM recipient said it was actually a joke and the IM's fell INTO THE HANDS OF DEMOCRAT OPERATIVES ON THE HILL! It is obvious that Democrats and ABC (as well as Joe Scarborough who is just dying to poke a stick at Republicans because they found him a fraud) are trying one last ditch effort to keep the fire on the GOP. The problem is, their latest revelation comes from a tip that has not and, most likely, can not be confirmed.

ABC has no way to confirm a "verbal account" of IM's or e-mails unless they have documentation of such!

But the biggest indicator that the latest revelation may be a last ditch effort by Democrat operatives and ABC to keep the heat on is in the final 2 paragraphs from Brian Ross' page.

-An online story on the Drudge Report Thursday claimed one set of the sexually explicit instant messages obtained by ABC News was part of a "prank" on the part of the former page, who reportedly says he goaded the congressman into writing the messages.

"This was no prank," said one of the three former pages who talked to ABC News today about his experience with the congressman.-

How good for ABC and the DEMOCRATS, that right after a story is broken that shows that Dems and their liberal media allies were actually the ones who knew about the disgusting acts of Foley and that they sat on them for political gain instead of going to the authorities, that suddenly they find 3 more Page's who do NOT have to reveal their names and have no evidence to back up claims.

Boehner stands to get the Speaker position if Hastert resigns.

Lets put up a tip line to expose reporters who know about Foley for over a year and did nothing to protect these poor defensless "children".

Well, as you must know, not all teenage boys are normal, and not all normal ones are the same. I can definitely see myself getting a laugh out of something like this when I was 17. Probably not for years, but then again if I knew he was a Congressman and I could use it to my advantage.. I don't mean that i'd ever blackmail someone; but some people might gladly accept career advancement in trade for having some old dude ask you what you're wearing now and then.

It read like something I would write to my nephew away at college.

So true.

In fact, when I heard about the initial email Foley sent asking for a photo, I surmised that Foley was simply getting a pic to put in the page alumni handbook, or something like that.

Asking a co-worker for a photo is NOT a "red flag" that would definitely make Hastert (or anyone) suspicious enough to launch an investigation or ask someone to resign.

And all these concerned Republicans who are hanging their "they should've known" hat on that email asking for a photo are grasping at straws, if you ask me.

Maybe people knew Foley was gay, and maybe they didn't.

This sanctimoneous finger pointing and demands for Hastert's skalp by pundits like David Bossie, Laura Ingraham, and the Wash Times is MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACKING to the Nth degree, and it really makes me ill.

I tend to look for the simplest theory when no credible evidence leads me elsewhere

That's 'Occam's Razor', named after an English monk, William of Occam, from many years ago.

How far did this "joke" go.. and would anyone have believed him?(especially after Denny sent that Army guy after him) "if it was like a blackmail type of situation"

Yeah, one of them said that Foley actually had the nerve to ask him out for ice cream and offer rides in BMW.

I like listening to Mark Davis radio show but I think his calls for Denny Hassert to step down are wrong.

As long as we are going to continue to have pages in Congress, ALL homosexual congressmen should get the boot. Let's start with Studds and Frank.

I thought this was on topic-related. A page modifying the story he told ABC, after other pages disputed his story.

Wow, I wonder what federal anti-child abuse law that violates.

Aint that the truth. And not one of them will testify when it gets down to it.

This morning, Pelosi was challenged by a Republican Congressman to whether she would testify under oath if she had prior knowledge of the IMs. She quickly turned down the offer.

G. Gordon Liddy (a panelist on H&C) against Republicans, stating they deserve to have base stay home, mainly for fiscal reasons

Yeah, that problem's really going to improve under the dems. NOT!

It's not FoleyGate.

It's Rossgate.

And did you know when first brought the Speakers attention, the parents of the page in question didn't release the emails. That meant the Speaker didn't see them and nobody else read them. The pages parents wanted to protect their son from precisely what is going on right now with the MSM.

Nobody is saying that freak Foley should not be gone.

What we're saying is that ABC is now stretching to save its story and the fact that they are covering for Democrats who shopped it to them.

Its now obvious, more than ever, that Dems were the ones who knew about the vulgar messages and sat on them instead of going to the cops!!!! That's obstruction!

When Pelosi was challenged by a Republican this morning to testify under oath if she had prior knowledge of these IM's being out there....she quickly refused.

Foley did something bad, for sure. But Dems are saying Republicans knew....and now the evidence is pointing that DEMS KNEW....Not Republicans. And Dems did not go to the authorities. They held on to messages for political gain. And further endangered Pages.

Pelosi would not take a Polygraph either. They are hypocrites
who will play this for all it is worth and MSM will help. So
far, by the amount of hype, this thing looks like it has political legs.
