Macsmind notices that Patrick McHenry R-NC put Pelosi and Emmanuel on the spot. From The Hill, which notes that he
... called on Democratic leaders yesterday to testify under oath about when they knew of former Rep. Mark Foley's (R-Fla.) Internet communications with a House page.
...Pelosi and Emmanuel refuse to take a polygraph test over the Foley mess.
Pelosi has also refused to make a sworn affadavit.

And she does not want Louis Freeh to investigate.
I bet they knew long before Denny Hastert did.

It's one thing to refuse a polygraph. It's quite another to refuse to go under oath.
What in the world would keep her from testifying? Republicans with knowledge would also be expected to testify under OATH.
Something's wrong.

I think I heard tonight that the House committee had issued 40 subpoenas. Is Nancy going to refuse to cooperate with those to?

Like I've said, waterboarding is a demonstrably effective technique for getting these people to talk and implicate others.
IF the Democrats want to give civil liberties to foreign terrorists, seems to me it's quite appropriate to use the third-degree techniques used on terrorists for Democrats.

If there were top Democrats who knew about this long before Hastert did, their knowledge of Foley's second batch of text messages (that Hastert did not know about) could land them in deep water since knowing about these and not reporting it to the authorities could very well be breaking the law.
I don't know if this is what happened, but sooner or later the truth will surface about who knew what and when.

Pelosi has also refused to make a sworn affadavit. That says it all right there. Unlike polygraphs, sworn affidavits are accepted in court proceedings, IIRC.

Hello,
What is wrong is that these creeps (not to be confused with Foley, also a creep), but this was set up long ago, and Stretch is in so deep, that it isn't even funny.
What amazes me is that these people thought they could get away with this, wow, how stupid are they?
Glad to be here, MOgirl

Back when Nance started in with her "culture of corruption" nonsense, the first thing that popped into my mind was "time to look in Nancy's closet." Democrats project. It's what they do. They can't help it.
