It's one thing to refuse a polygraph. It's quite another to refuse to go under oath.

What in the world would keep her from testifying? Republicans with knowledge would also be expected to testify under OATH.

Something's wrong.

I think I heard tonight that the House committee had issued 40 subpoenas. Is Nancy going to refuse to cooperate with those to?

If there were top Democrats who knew about this long before Hastert did, their knowledge of Foley's second batch of text messages (that Hastert did not know about) could land them in deep water since knowing about these and not reporting it to the authorities could very well be breaking the law.

I don't know if this is what happened, but sooner or later the truth will surface about who knew what and when.

Hello,

What is wrong is that these creeps (not to be confused with Foley, also a creep), but this was set up long ago, and Stretch is in so deep, that it isn't even funny.

What amazes me is that these people thought they could get away with this, wow, how stupid are they?

Glad to be here, MOgirl

Wasn't SHE the one who, when demanding a full investigation, insisted the GOP testify under oath? For her to refuse will send red flags to all voters who are watching this unfold.

Why should she? I mean, the dems are winning over this in the media. Everyone is so afraid the GOP is just making excuses that the polls show this has tilted the Congress as well as the Senate in the direction of the dems taking over both houses in a month.

They don't and won't rock their boat by actually allowing the truth to come out over who knew this and when and why they sat on it until they could spring it as an October suprise. All they have to do is ride out the next 31 days and then the whole thing goes away and they are in charge in DC.

It sucks, but we are just not as good as the dems at dirty tricks, never have (been) and evidentally never will.
