CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

They are reassuring each other that the nasty Republicans are going down (so to speak) and posting "evidence" such as:
Dems Can't TOP this LIST! (list of every Republican sex scandal they can think of for the past 25 years)

Good for Neil - how did Soros respond to that question ? Did he actually answer it or dance around it ?

Great idea, Grandpa Dave!
We all know who they are and they need to now be stopped from disrupting FR.

I'm sure "a little compassion" is exactly what you were showing when Clinton was getting milked by Monica.
To: Txsleuth
Your on the same wave length I am.
The authorities do not ask anyone to sign an affidavit or testify under oath over something minor. She's in it up to her neck and they obviously have something on her to even approach her with those requests, and is it just a coincidence that soros made his first guest appearance on TV today and on FOX at that.

I used to have old men hit on me all the time and I would just blow them off. You might want to rephrase that.
To: JCEccles
I too have a 17 year old son and if some 50 year old man was getting off, literally, while talking to my son, I'd call that creepy anyway you slice it.

What a joke!! It seems the party that opposes tapping terrorists want them to tap a gay guy tho!!
Pathetic.
And Gibson still asking if Hastert should resign???????
Is this hardball or CNN???

Why did the kid wait until he was outed to get his 'friends' to back up his story it was a prank? This has been going on since Friday and it would have continued if he wasn't outed.

"Not sure what this "prank" aspect really accomplishes. Someone explain."
The "prank" claim was introduced to the discussion by that high-powered defense attorney hired by Jordan Edmund. I assume it's intended to show that Edmund wasn't blackmailing Foley, and wasn't gay.

I didn't hit abuse, don't have to.
Moderators are quick about that. I just did not want to loose the content of your post before it was pulled.
I appreciated knowing the DUmies are melting down, thanks.

Because I think the "kid" secretly has some major left-wing connections.

As I said, I have 17 year old son and have raised two more beyond that age. When they were 16, they were no longer kids. They were tough, strapping young men. By the time they were 17 they were adults in every physical sense of the word.
The Dems have pitched this as an assault against prepubescent boys. I'm getting sick of reading the posts of FReepers who have bought into that lie. Thank you. My sentiments exactly. There are unfortunately a lot of people in the Republican/conservative camp who are totally buying into this "pedophilia" / "child molester" Democratic propaganda (like Mona Charen's recent column. She sounds just like Nancy Pelosi - very odd.)
I smell Kool-Aid...
To: countreegurl
Yes, it's creepy. It's worse than creepy. It's wrong.
But it is not pedophilia. That's a whole different magnitude of wrong.

What's the age difference between Demi and her boy toy? How about 'The Donald", or Cruse and Kattie and countless others. Are they all "pervs and peds"?
Get a grip.

Don't know if this has been posted again but it bears repeating because it explains why Foley won't be exonerated.
I'm not sure, but my guess would be that the "prank" was played on Foley himself. He probably engaged in the IM's thinking they were legit and the pages were just yankin' his chain.

IF there are any honest reporters left they'll be all over Pelosi and other 'Rats who may have been involved..... we want ANSWERS.... what did they know, when did they know it, and what did THEY do with any info..... etc.
"Nancy Pelosi sure is refusing a LOT and so far, getting away with it.. IF the story is true that Hastert backed off having Freeh do the investigation because SHE said NO.... And if she did say NO....why??? Why would she refuse to testify under oath or sign an affidavit?? I think any reporter worth his/her credentials BETTER get those answers.."
