CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
The media has been camped on his door step is what I have heard. Bet they are at the Istook office as well. That was a campaign going nowhere fast and now this.
THE GOP needs to find their best orator who has credibility and call a press conference asking Pelosi and the Democrats why they halted the Page investigation. do they have something to hide????
Speculation is that there is blackmail involved somewhere.
does that help?
Maybe FOX actually checks its sources BEFORE showing themselves as blubbering idiots.
FOX news on KFI in L.A. still has no clue. They are all over Hastert taking full responsibility, and how this will affect the Repubs in the election.
HELLOOOO! Anyone IN there??
I can't be the only one that thinks Matthew Loraditch is up to his eyeballs in this. If you search the google cache of that page site he and Jordan Edmund ran, you'll see that they had a falling out and Jordan was no longer a site administrator as of January 2004.
I didn't know that little factoid. Thanks!
He doesn't say anything about the fact that there's more than one conversation out there, said another source, speaking about the Drudge story.
That is what ABC will say.....as I said, this is not the only page, supposedly....just the only one who is named so far.
Now, if we can find the names of all the other pages (perhaps somebody in ABC News if we are so lucky), we could perhaps prove EVERYTHING was a prank.
You don't need webmaster talent if you got an WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor, like FrontPage.
Take good notes!
E X A C T L Y what I think, ALSO....this is MORE than a prank.....calling it a prank is an effort to cover their a**es.
>>>here is his bio in myspace--- click here:<<<
His bio is a hoot.
Kid needs to pull his mySpace account and get a good lawyer.
Bob Woodward must be wetting his pants in anticipation of the book he's going to produce from this!
Soros=antichrist
"Worst Foleymas ever for Democrats"
You got that right. I think Rove and the RNC should drop a little October surprise bomb this weekend just to make things interesting.
This week is getting better and better with Pelosi now turning down Freeh. I love it!
Well, just listened to the hourly ABC update on my work radio. Mention Hastert apologizing, but nothing on the investigation, the prank, or anything else of any substance to this situation.
