Interesting that this plot apparently involved liquid explosives...

An Iranian would have liked to explode a plane with Gosselies

An Iranian who affirms to have wanted to explode a plane at the beginning of Gosselies was stopped last week in Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA). The man, who would have from Iran to Europe, went of itself to the police force while affirming to have projected to make jump a plane, the day before, by dissimulating liquid explosives in bottles of drugs. No explosive however was found but justice checked the timetable of the suspect and considered to be its remarks “coherent”.

Accused in particular of attempt at destruction of an aircraft by explosives, the Iranian saw his warrant for arrest confirmed Tuesday by the room of the council. Exclusive information of Beautiful RTL.

I've been wondering how long it would be before they started targetting continental air-routes.

I'll be very happy when I no longer have to fly twice a week.

I'll be interested to see if Belgium are as soft on terrorists as we are. It would be nice if they would set the example and blow the scum away.

I fear for him. They may place him in the room of interrogation and deprive him of foie gras. He could be spoken to most harshly, no? He could be made to serve the sentence, severe, perhaps five months. His allotment sociale, she could be curtailed.

No, Monsieur, the justice Belgique, she is - ow you say? - draconic.

"I can confirm that an Iranian citizen was arrested last week after stating that he was approached to commit a bombing on a plane,"

hmmm.....so he hadn't been arrested prior to saying that? Did he walk into the police station and tell them he'd been approached?
Odd phrasing. Maybe it's the translation?

I just read this.
He sounds like a nut, especially since he didn't have any explosives.

Don't hold your breath. Belgium has coddled it's islamic population. Openly critical of Israel, etc.

Ummm ... it reads like those instructions from Taiwan in the 1980s.

Sounds and looks like English, but ... it proves once again that computers cannot translate worth a darn.
