Novak? Fuggettaboutit.
the kid was 18 right?
Piling on I see.....sheesh....
I wouldn't count on it..
Seems the page in question was no longer a page and was 18 when the IM's started getting graphic.
Novak knew Armitage outed plame... he kept his dim mouth shut to help defeat Bush. Novak knew Scooter Libby was innocent, but he kept his mouth shut and let him hang from the gallows. Novak knows the man was 18 when the salacious IM's were sent and that this scandal (concerning Republican Leadership) is BS... once again he... see a pattern?

I seriously doubt the Foley scandal is going to seriously affect any race outside of his district.
Because a voter is repelled by Foley's shenanigans doesn't mean that they will abruptly abandon the GOP and embrace the party of gay marriage and abortion.
Repelled Independents will most likely say "A pox on both your houses." and stay home, which alters nothing.
The liberals are attempting to prybar a political advantage out of this but I predict that in the next few days their carefully planted bomb will go off in their faces.
It is only October 4. The election will be held in about a month. In political terms, a month is just short of eternity. The mainstream media will be on to the next scandal or big story as soon as it occurs. And hardly anyone will even remember this happened by election time. Unless, of course, the MSM tries to keep it pumped up for an entire month. But that rarely works. Foley was a scumbag, no doubt. But what does that have to do with me voting for Mike McGavick instead of Maria Cantwell? Absolutely nothing...zero...nada...zip.
Should have primaried him.
Peddle it to CNN Novak, I'm not interested.
More crack-pipe smoking from Novak.
Stick a fork in Novak he is done.
Personally, I think it would be helpful if all of the debauchery and corruption in the congress were well known to the electorate. Let the chips fall...
Novak's an ass.
Hastert looked at the e-mails, the FBI looked at the e-mails, everyone said "I don't really see anything illegal here."
Novak et al are, as Ann said last night to Bill O'Reilly, "asking Hastert to have wire-tapped a Congressman when they don't even want us wire-tapping muslim terrorists."
What an ass.
Big mistake on your part for posting this. I haven't read the comments yet but I'm sure the Pubbie bots who put party above morality and everything else will crucify you for posting this thread.
First, Foley was, and is, a scaly geek. Whether he's also a criminal... doesn't seem to me to be worth the pettifogging it's getting. He was a geek, he needed to go. He's gone, so what's the problem?
If the GOP loses the House it will not be because Mark Foley was a scaly geek, a 50-something lecher who wants to seduce teenagers (whether they're "this"teen or "that"teen is kind of immaterial when I put it that way, isn't it?) It's just as scaly when it's a straight guy.
I mean, I am younger than Foley, and thumpingly heterosexual, but I really can't see myself in my horniest imaginable state sending racy IMs or emails to 16-to-18-year-old girls. What on earth would we talk about? (Maybe that's why the selection of subject matter in the Foley documents is so... narrow).
No, if the GOP loses the house it will be because the GOP leadership, Hastert, DeLay, Boehner, and their cronies, threw it away. They were more interested in lining their own pockets and the plush pockets of their friends than it showing leadership. They had numerous opportunities to reform but they were too busy rakin' it in. When they elected Boehner to replace DeLay -- elected "Mr K Street" who is known as a spineless puppet of lobbyists -- they pretty much said, "the electorate is stupid, and we have a lock on this entitlement."
If they lose the house it will be because, with the house in hand in 1994, the key provision of the Contract With America -- term limits -- was thrown out.
In very few details was the Republican congress of the last 12 years superior to its Democratic predecessor, and by 2006 it had become almost indistinguishable.
"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
Sorry about this, for those of you who are faithful Republicans. But to me it is more important that a Congressman not be a creep than it is that he be a political ally.

Criminal Number 18F
Let's see...I am in the San Jose area.
Mike Honda is up for reelection. I do not know his opponent.
That is how effective the republican party is in this area.
So, I will not vote or will vote for Mike Honda because of
Foley?
I do not think so. I will vote for the janitor running against Honda. My vote has not changed.
EOM!
You mean registered Democrat Novak?
How about we discuss the FACTS. Foley is a bad guy. He was forced to resign by Republicans. He is being investigated and may end up in jail. However, Democrats sat on the information for almost a year that could of gotten Foley delt with MUCH earlier because they felt it was MORE important to use it as a cheap campaign stunt. Meanwhile, 56 Democrat Congress critters face ethics or ciminal investigation and NOT ONE of themse has been required to do ANYTHING by their party leadership. NOT ONE.
This Foley crap is nothing but nonsense and noise. He resigned. He is under investigation. He will be prosecuted. Meanwhile the REAL important stuff is not being talked about so the Junk Media drama queens can hyperventilate about a complete NON issue and divert attention off the Democrats complete lack of anything that even looks like a sane idea of a plan for our future.
You tax bill, the War on Terrorism, the Border, your kids future, NSA bill pending in front of Congress, Judges, Spending, Jobs and the Economy, ALL the real issues that the next Congress will have to deal with will STILL be here and need a resolution a month from now when NO one even remembers Foley's name.
