A network source explains exchanges with the young man and disgraced former Congressman Foley took place before and after the 18th birthday.

Nobody's blaming the kid - whether he was 16 or 18. But if he was 18, then there's no "underage" factor to Foley's conduct and it's just dirty talk between two guys (I don't know if the kid's gay or not, and don't care), not an adult and a minor.

Okay, here's the best I can gather from this new stuff. There were IM's between the page---Jordan---and Foley before and after Jordan turned 18. Apparently---according to these other sources--- the IM that ABC "featured" as occurring between Foley and an underage page did not occur until after the page was 18. So I guess there still was creepy stuff between Foley and Jordan before he was 18, but the really creepy IM that ABC chose to publish and "feature" did not occur until after Jordan was 18. So the "lie" people are saying was done by ABC is featuring a particular IM that occurred after Jordan was 18 as occurring while he was still underage. I'm sure that's perfectly clear. :0

At least one of the posters revealed through the screw up at ABC has been postively identified according to internet reports, hence the Drudge headline. That person is now 21 years old and the posts were from 2003, QED, he was 18 at the time. Oh, and legal age for 'this sort of thing' is apparently 16 for all of the jurisdictions involved.

Also, just to point up the hypocrisy of the folks pushing this "scandal," the Dhimmicrats have their own "facts in evidence" in Gary Studds, who not only sent messages to a (adult ex page, which is all Foley apparently did) Studds actually buggered the fellow, who was still a page at the time (which is not true of any of the folks Foley sent messages to).
