The sit-in will begin after the applicants are rejected (approximately 10 minutes later). Well wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if the centers accepted their applications. ;o)

I still think they should call their bluffs and accept their enlistments. Put them through an uncomfortable 8 weeks or so of bootcamp. Then discharge them on don't ask, don't tell grounds.
To: marta R
Funny how they never protest or even blame the creator of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

Great idea.I think I've seen that Marine recruit training has what's called a physical conditioning platoon for guys who can't meet PT standards.Put these clowns into that platoon for about 12 weeks.

I agree, Take their enlistments and place them in the Marine Corps. A few weeks at boot camp wont do them any harm.

great to hear that, and thank you for your service. The real irony is that I support gays in the military, there are gays in the military now, and we're at war and I think it is a childish stunt to stage this sit in.

"They NEED your support! Come out and join in a peaceful protest. While some may be willing to get arrested, there will be ample opportunity for all demonstrators to disperse peacefully." Not a chance in hell.

Ha, ha, it's all very funny about letting them join but we all know that's not going to happen because they'll never really sign the paper.
Marta, you've got a great idea there, send emails with this information to every local Republican party or group you can find on the web and ask them to meet you there at
9:00 am with signs supporting the troops and American flags to peacefully counter the protesters. Do the same with veteran's groups. Also your local state freeper page. See if you can get someone with a digital camera just to take pictures so we can all see what happened!
Sign suggestions:
"Warning: Don't step on the crawling moonbats"
"US Code Title 18, Part I, Chapter 115, § 2388" (The federal law that makes hindering military recruitment during wartime illegal)
"We support the troops and their mission!"
Since you've got them sitting, have some articles printed beforehand and pass them out to the sitters to read them, like
The killing machine that is Marxism - by Professor R. J. Rummel,
Munitions Found in Iraq Meet WMD Criteria and
The Saddam-Osama Connection. They may not let you in for that, however, you might be able to pass them in.
See if your church will lend you about 20 hymnals to have ready in your car. In case a lot of people show up for your side, you can pass them out, turn to the patriotic section and sing the sitting socialists a few lullabies! Or just print out patriotic songs and military theme songs from each service from the web. If 5-6 of you are outside singing they will hear you inside! Even if you are there by yourself and just stand on the sidewalk with one sign, the presence of one troop supporter will negate their impact tremendously.
God bless you and I'll be praying for you on Friday!

Right to ServeReally? Is there a "right" to serve in the military? I don't think so. I'd think any applicant would have to meet whatever the criteria are, and, if there are requirements, then it's not a "right."

I agree. Serving in the military is a privilege, not a right. You have to meet certain requirements to be accepted. Just like you have to meet certain requirements to receive a driver's license (which is not a "right" as well).
