American Family Voices - calls to tell us to have GOP leadership resign (Vanity)
Mark Levin Show and My Answering Machine | 10/-3/06 | Self

Posted on 10/03/2006 8:06:53 PM PDT by Seattle Conservative

I had a vmail message on my answering machine when I arrived home. I'm sitting here doing a little work and listening to Mark Levin. Other people from vaqrious states are calling in mentioning these calls. I did a search on FR and found a couple of articles - also checked into their web site.

Mark said that Mike Lux, the president of this group, worked on the Clinton-Gore campaign in '92 and was on their transition team. He also worked in the WH in 93-95 as a special advisor to Bubba.

"I wonder if they mean leaders like PELOSI?

Of course not!"

Oh no, Stretch doesn't know anything - nada (actually, after listening to her squawk, I think that she really doesn't know much about much).

Wonder what she would have said if someone was providing IMs and email on Barney or one of her guys - - that's illegal - you can't do that - - see, what Bush's 'illegal wiretapping' has brought us to.

":[I'm in Baghdad Jim McDumbass territory - they ain't gonna call me...]"

If you are in Baghdad no one needs to call you, you are busy. If they have questions..have them call your secretary.

Yep - they're after you because they think you'll sit home exasperated about Mark Foley, gays, etc.

They have a very narrow view of what Republicans/Conservatives really are. It's all demographics and focus-grouped with them.

WA 7th CD - Jim McDermott

I'd take having a Congressman in DC, let alone a secretary to take my calls...

I got this call too. I wonder how they got their phone list.

These liberal scum are beneath contempt. But we must expose this far and wide.

Here it is. Stan Greenburg, who is involved in Emerging Democratic Marjority and/or Donkey Rising, as I mentioned above - his daughter was on C-Span this weekend and I guess she had a bit of a slug fest w Frank Luntz (I didn't watch it, but believe I read Frank won). She is VP of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research

Coming up now:

Call-In
2006 Midterm Elections
C-SPAN, Washington Journal
Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
ID: 194411 - 2 - 10/01/2006 - 1:00 - No Sale

Luntz, Frank Pollster, Republican Party
Greenberg, Anna Pollster, Democratic Party

The guests discussed the latest poll numbers, voter perceptions of Congress, party control in the House and Senate after November, and relevant issues and trends in this election cycle. Ms. Greenberg is the Vice President of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Mr. Luntz is the president of Luntz Maslansky Strategic Research.

I got one tonight also. Hung up on them.

Hope the next call I get from one of them has a male voice. I'm going to teach him some new cuss words.

This is the firm that is coordinating the caller database, I think. Check out their client list, and you'll find our culprits making this effort.

So the Dems are push-polling the issue huh? Does anyone doubt that they were behind this all the time?

Good points! First, I wasn't home (was at work - probably hard for them to believe that, too - -though, maybe they purposely call Pubbies during working hours just like they poll on weekends - - they know many Pubbies won't be home.
Second, if they had reached me - they probably would've loved it if I said thanks for your call - I'll be sure to share your info w all my FReeper FRiends I'm chatting w now

Interesting how a lot of us found out about it: "Steve in Spokane" called Mark Levin complaining about getting the call, but couldn't identify the org making the call. He was quickly corroborated by another Spokanian, who did.

Apparently, The Great One's lines just lit up with other callers getting and reporting the same thing.

They're out for blood, but they're only gonna get turnips. This ain't 1992 anymore!

Very interesting. Outside of the DNC, various Dim candidates, American Family Voices is one of their clients - good work Jeff!

Quote on landing page:
"We bring the art and science of targeted direct mail together to move public opinion and win elections"
Anil Mammen

The should clarify that: to move public opinion to the Democratic opinion and win (or, in the case of WA, steal) elections. If that doesn't work, we'll just use the politics of personal destruction and smear everyone in our way.

My disgusting call from American Family Voices came today. All I can say is I hope they are spending a ton of money on this stupid antic.

I got one here in Baton Rouge, La. this afternoon around 3PM. Basically saying how horrible Foley's trolling was (he was trying to solicit a child), how the House leadership (Hastert) was despicable as he and other Republican's knew of this for months, covered it up for politics and cared nada for the chillins, Hastert needs to resign, urges me to call Richard Baker and demand that he call for an investigation and demand Hastert's resignation,
blah blah blah. Not surprised.

Petronski and Sergeant Tim fleshed out the posers, I just jumped onboard the Search Wagon on the Levin Live Thread.

You're completely right, though: they're spending a helluva lot of money on a futile effort to isolate the base because they have no message besides dissent, which only plays with those who feel rather than think.

Tain't gonna work. Even the most apolitical moderate has now heard of "push polling" and has at least rudimentary knowledge of the dirty machinations that go on in Democrat campaigns. I'll just sit here, work a little, FReep a lot, and enjoy the inevitable backlash against this kind of crap when Americans respond accordingly.
