You can't have sex with kids, though. There is no way to excuse Foley on this one, if these accusations are true, he is a big a pervert as any other pedophile.

The heck with the "It's Just Sex" democrats -- what about the "It's a matter of personal privacy" democrats from back when Gerry Studds (D-MA) was having sexual relations with a 16 year old male page, and the democrats covered it up for 10 years? Then they grudgingly decided to censure him. And when they read the censure, Studds turned his back on the speaker and then held a press conference about how it was just a private matter and he never apologized. And then he ran for and was reelected for three more terms. These guys don't condemn what Foley was doing, they just see a political opportunity to use this against the Republicans.

It is my personal opinion that this scandal is "small town" big time. The question is how much did Barney Frank know and when did he know it? In small town gossip different groups, even if not aligned with one another, knows about the other group.

You can bet Barney Frank and probably Kolby of Arizona knew.

Is "sex" with a minor just "sex"? I'd say no.

What's worse, IMing a page or getting oral sex from an intern?

Exactly. .

Once considered a bright prospect for joining other Kennedys in a political career, Michael [Kennedy] suffered a fall from grace last spring when it was alleged he had an affair with his family's underage baby sitter.

Ever notice...
1) Republicans are "pedophiles" when they send salacious emails to boys who are old enough to legally have sex, but
2) Democrats "have affairs" when they have physical relationships with underage girls.

My suggestion is that Ken Mehlman should take the lead on this one and make a statement that since the Republican Party cannot seem to ever handle these situations to suit the Democrats, we will use the Democrat handling of similar incidents as a precedent and follow their lead ---censor and move on, unless the Democrats in Congress would like to revisit some of their own scandals, such as the involving Barney Frank.

As Clinton wagged his finger in the nose of every American, assuring the world that he "did not have sex with that woman", he and his closest advisors knew better. As he sat under oath before a court committing outright perjury before a world-wide audience, Democrats stood firmly at his side, crying foul, insisting that any lie about sex isn't a lie at all really.

When former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey was busted cheating on his wife and family with a young male office assistant, Democrats again rushed to his side

Democrat Representative Barney Franks didn't get busted sending private messages to his boy friend - he was busted paying a male prostitute for services. He was busted while using his elected position of power to clear his boy friend from his felony past, with convictions for cocaine possession, oral sodomy and "production of obscene items involving a juvenile."

I want to see more of this guy's stuff -- he's right on every call...

The Seattle Times reports "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants the House Ethics Committee to put Republican leadership under oath to find out what they knew about Congressman Mark Foley's inappropriate communications with Congressional pages."

What a simple minded joker this brain dead Pelosi is. And looking to be speaker of the house? Damn, America better get their thinking caps on.

If monica were 16, bill would have resigned.

If this page were 18, the Dems would be celebrating Foley and asking him to joint their party.

"Its all about sex." But if you're a Republican, then its a criminal matter. Simple and straight to the Democrats.

Rush needs to play a "montage" of the Clinton sex scandal where ALL the democrats spewed the "it's just about sex" rhetoric....
