War On Terror: The man in charge of the CIA's Osama bin Laden desk on Bill Clinton's watch says that despite the former president's finger-wagging, Clinton did not do all he could to get the man who spawned 9/11.
Michael Scheuer is a 22-year CIA veteran and was head of that agency's bin Laden unit from 1966 to 1999. In a follow-up to Clinton's volcanic interview the week earlier on "Fox News Sunday," FNS host Chris Wallace invited him as one of three counterterrorism experts to analyze the truthfulness of assertions made by the "wizard of 'is' " in defending his pre-9/11 actions, or lack thereof.
Wallace asked the former head of "Alec Station," who'd previously said the CIA gave Clinton eight to 10 shots at killing or capturing bin Laden, why the al-Qaida leader was never killed or captured.
Scheuer responded that Clinton was correct in saying he got closer to bin Laden than anyone. "But, of course, he always refused to pull the trigger," he added.

You are right. Carter is responsible for the resurgence of the radical Islam, because he let them overtake Iran and he didn't help our best friend, the Shah of Iran, in fact Carter underminded him.
Clinton is responsible through inaction and not taking the threat seriously, even after the first bombing of the WTC and Bin Laden's declaration of war against the US.
Carter gave birth to the monkey, Clinton spanked it.

what truth? No one cares. The major media outlets other than Fox won't touch this. They won't report the truth. You are just preaching to choir. In the mean time, the Repubs are getting sandbagged by the Clinton Mafia. What other shoes will be dropped exposing the corrupt Republicans. Power has corrupted them. And the sad thing is that it's ok for Democrats to lie, rape, molest and steal. It's expected of them and they get a free pass. But republicans can't get away with it. Republicans have to walk the walk and if they don't, they get branded as hypocrites. The republican party is a joke. And just watch Bush veto the border wall to appease his friends in Mexico.

I think it's more that it must have been totally galling to turn on the tube and see Klintoon blaming the guys in the field for HIS failures.
Guys who risked their lives to get OBL in their sites, only to have the Sinkmeister be too busy with interns, and the political fallout therefrom, to answer the phone.
Even if I'd kept quiet for years, I do believe that would have made me start looking for ways to get the truth out.
And guess what? Every time we kill one of them, for example, in an SUV, the Rats start whining that it's not fair and it's not right and how could we stoop so low.

Very good points. And you probably are right on the mark on this one, in retrospect. Hopefully lots more will come out to show what a useless clown he was 99% of his time in office.
