WASHINGTON TIMES ON TUESDAY WILL CALL FOR SPEAKER HASTERT'S RESIGNATION, NEWSROOM SOURCES TELL DRUDGE... DEVELOPING... Editorial titled: 'Resign, Mr. Speaker': 'House Speaker Dennis Hastert must do the only right thing, and resign his speakership at once... Mr. Hastert has forfeited the confidence of the public and his party, and he cannot preside over the necessary coming investigation, an investigation that must examine his own inept performance'... -- Washington Times, October 3, 2006...
Why don't they just wait a month, he is retiring anyway.
Washington Times? Are you sure it's not the Washington Post?
With five weeks before the election, this is great. (sarc)
Somethin smells, but if he did f-up in cover up, then he's gatta go.
If the Dems take over the House the Times will get run out of town this time. They'll be sending their union thugs over there to burn down the printing plant Fur Shur.
Times knows that too.
Utter nonsense. He must have made enemies on the cocktail circuit by not going there and giving up scuttlebut.
Wow, with all of this, and the vitriol about Hastert before facts are known (beyond anonymous emails/IM's that get confused on purpose in every news item), it looks like the Democrats have succeeded.
I tip my hat to them on a perfect political play. It could come out that everything was faked and that Foley is innocent, but by that time no one will care.
Consider it cancelled.
They are making themselves more loony(or should I say Moonie) with each passing day.
Well, I guess they finally do live up to their Mooney reputation.
Hastert isn't retiring.
BTTT

AT ONCE they say. LOL .......
Hastert and Frist should be the first two to go in this blood letting. The Foley situation is the tip of the iceberg. The current Republican leadership is morally bankrupt.

If they knew that this creep was committing a crime, then I'd say they're right. It's a big if.
Maybe they know something we don't?
