That'd be ridiculous.

If the Dems take over the House the Times will get run out of town this time. They'll be sending their union thugs over there to burn down the printing plant Fur Shur.

Times knows that too.

Keep in mind that the WT's HR director was just busted for something similar. Could be that their call for Hassert's resig is just cover and recovery.

So Hastert wants to clean his own house and the demonrats don't want him to lead the investigation...

1)am thinking either the demonrats were involved with their own email abuses, as the investigation could range into all senatorial emails...

2)or the demonrats knew about Foley's email abuses, but kept it quiet until right before the elections, even from Republican eyes...thus the demonrats are more to blame then the Republicans, who are acting on the info straight away, instead of trying to use it for political gain, like the demonrats.

Am thinking scenario #2 is the most likely.
