If there were more responsible adults on school campus legally carrying concealed firearms, it would be a deterrent to mass murderes who target schools.

School officials learned about the gun after a co-worker asked Roe how she is protecting herself against her husband, the police report states, and she told him that she had a gun in her purse, according to the sheriff's department.

WHY COULDN'T THIS CO-WORKER JUST STFU??? The woman told you how she was protecting herself honestly. So why did the co-worker have to go running to the principal like the beeyotch she is? Jeez Louise I friggin' hate tattletalers.

No decision was made Monday about whether Roe will face criminal charges

...and idiocy reigns across the land once again.

After the events of last week, I think teachers should be encouraged to arm themselves.

The NRA needs to get involved in this one. Considering she's in Washingtonstan she's gonna need all the money and legal help in the world.

First, she should have obtained a court order *requiring* her to be armed in public. These are not as uncommon as you might imagine, and trump local laws. Once she had obtained a local order, then she would need to present that order to a federal judge, so that it could be extended to also supercede federal laws against carrying weapons on school grounds.

Once this had been done, the school would have had no choice but to have permitted her to be armed on school grounds.

I highly recommend that if you need a concealed weapon for immediate personal protection, that is, you have a reason to need it right now, you get such a legal order. Otherwise, there are any number of hassles you will get from all levels of government and business.

Funny how it was reported that it was not clear if the gun was loaded. In Texas there is nothing in the gun statutes that differentiates between a loaded or unloaded gun.

The co-worker told Nisqually Principal Karen Owen

A$$hole. And if the woman's husband had come on campus and killed her, would the co-worker be at the anti-domestic violence vigil wondering why this had happened to her friend?

The teacher was stupid to say she had a gun on campus, but the co-worker was an idiot, more concerned about the gun than whether her colleague could protect herself.

The law says no one except law enforcement officers can bring a firearm onto school grounds.

Yeah, that mean-old GUN-FREE SCHOOL ZONE sign sure stopped the kid in Wisconsinstan from popping his principal.

Man I am so mad about this AARRRGGGHHH. I feel like zotting someone.

If these teachers were required to be LEOs we would have half the trouble in schools we do now. Plus knowing the law maybe they wouldn't have their hands in kid's pants so often.

Her big mistake was confiding in a chickenshit colleague, who, of course, "told".

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I am sure sorry this happened to the lady.

I'll bet her .38 special was a S&W AirLite. They weigh 12 ounces unloaded.

Ms. Roe said that she has a concealed weapons permit and is proficient at shooting because of her military training."

Roe was visibly upset and crying when police came to the school Thursday to investigate,

She had military training and she started crying when the police showed up?

Regardless, I think it is wise for teachers with CCW permits to carry on campus.

Most parents would WANT the teachers to be armed!

Burn her! Burn her for the children!

Oh...wait, the no-guns-at-schools-excepting-of-course-professional-gubmint-types laws were passed because of children with guns.

At least the law works, except when it doesn't and some criminal psycho shows up and starts killing at will and no one, because they're law abiding, has a gun to stop the murdering so the evildoers keep doing what they do until the police show up and by then it's usually too late.

Liberals feel good and that's all that matters.

First, I think the more responsible teachers we have armed the better. In this case I disagree though. Her hot head to be ex has already shown he can be violent. IMO she should have explained the circumstances to her principal and asked for a transfer to a lower risk area temporarily because if she feared her husband enough to think he might come to her school then, her students were at risk too.
