CHARLESTON, S.C. A Charleston, South Carolina city councilman reportedly says parents who can't properly care for their kids should be sterilized.
Larry Shirley tells The Post and Courier, "We pick up stray animals and spay them."
Shirley's comments come after police say a video store was held up by a group of children, including a 14-year-old girl suspected of wielding a B-B gun that looked like a pistol.
According to the paper, Shirley says "These mothers need to be spayed if they can't take care of theirs. He reportedly goes on to say, "Once they have a child and it's running the street, to let them continue to have children is totally unacceptable."

I'll tell this story again, some of you may have heard me tell it before.
I was working late shift at the store one night, and a young "man" came in and started picking out cigars. He ended up with quite a few. He wasn't choosing the cheap ones as the dopers do. I "carded" him, he looked that young, but he was 23. I asked him what the occassion was, and he said "congratulate me, man, this is for number 11".
11 kids, at 23, and proud of it!
One thing sure, something must be done.
When my daughter was born I bought cigars, too. Then I went home and started helping my wife mix formula and change diapers, and working my butt off every day.
I would have loved more kids, just figured it was best to stop where I could do a decent job with what I had.
Things can't go on the way they are, unless we are willing to give up everything this Nation stands for.
I don't think politicians are going to do any changing, they are ALL concerned with gaining the welfare voters.
We are ALL judged by the lowest common denominator, and governed on the same basis.

I'm totally in favor of having welfare mothers sterilized. Allow them one or two kids and then they can volunteer to be sterilzed or they won't get any more money for the extra kids they have.
His parents should have been sterilized.
Who gets to do the choosing of who gets sterilized?

They can - at the Welfare office. Put it on the form the welfare queens fill out to get the $$$. As Justice Holmes said, "Three generations of imbeciles is enough".

That's OK. His opposition, the niggardly (Old Norse root, 'hnoggr') Robot Fo'd wants to call out the National Guard. Where have we heard that before?
Fo'd being (niggardly) covetous and stingy of Rights like the Second Amendment.
The article is in error. The children are suspected of armed robbery. They did use a BB gun, found, printed and admitted.
