Hastert's staff have said they were told about Foley and they (the staff) handled it without informing their boss....

So, which person on Hastert's staff is taking responsibility? Hastert's Chief of Staff? The Secretary's clerical assistant?

Blame the staff? That reminds me of another politician who frequently blamed others for his ills--that guy in the 04 election---who was for everything before he was against it.

I'm not buying it. There is too much fingerpointing for no one in 'position' to know something suspicious, or at least curious, was going on. The buck is being passed so fast that the green is pealing off. If there was even a hint of some indiscretion, why was Foley allowed to retain Chairmanship of the exploited children committee? No. Too much smells about this whole issue.

well..if you can stand to read the filth on that gay board(blogactive.com) you will find that they are going to try to 'out' Lindsey Graham next and I saw Carl Rove on their hit list yesterday....lol

Mind you of course, they have no proof, only rumors and lies from other gays...lol....I have never met a gay in my life that did not think every man in the room was gay but just not 'out' yet!
Let's make sure that if there are investigations on capitol hill that we haul in all the queers to give thier filthy rumor mills a voice!! LMAO!!

I got the same impression from that interview.

I also noticed that while he had many nice things to say about Bob Woodward, he had nothing complimentary to say about Rumsfeld.

Card was right about one thing. He ran his mouth to Woodward way too much.

As I recall Sherrod Brown Didn't give a crap about how old the kids he partied with 1982 were.

Is there some meat to that?  IOW, was he, perhaps a teacher who "partied" with his students, or some such?  I just don't know what Sherrod Brown would have been doing in 1982 to make this relevant.

Have come to have a lot of respect for Scheuer. He's been upfront with his reporting on what exactly did and did NOT go on during X42 regime.

I am hearing a report by Frank Sezno on CNN about Rummy that is unbelievably ugly. It appears they have put together a presentation to air later called "Rumsfeld: Man of War" to tout. The voice over is very dark and the music threatening. The hatred for this man is remarkable.
