Don't worry, I won't hold my breath waiting for that. In the meantime I'll have another order of schweinsaxh'n (sp?)and a bottle of Dortmunder Union, thank you very much. And I'll also take a few extra H&K rifles off of your hands to defend your sorry asses with while you're trying to appease these rabid animals.
Do people writing articles such as this not realize that this production is a drastic change from the original Idomeneo? Check out a synopsis in Wikipedia. In addition, the revision makes no sense when compared to the original story.
Long after it's too late to save their country.
Well, they got it buckets...and guess what...they did not have guts to see it through.
The addition of the these heads added nothing to the opera...the loss of them would not have diminished it.
It got cancelled...well good!
Now you see her...Now you don't!
But hey, it was her choice...
Isn't it obvious?
Clinton, and the Clinton era, defined the evil of political correctness, racial profiling, outright lies, evasion of responsibility, hedonism, military cowardice, intelligence agency decimation, corruption, IRS abuses, direct acts of treason and the selling of military secrets, promoting political divisiveness in America and white Republican demonization, supporting the Islamofascists (the wrong side) in Kosovo and in 'Palestine', United Nations one world government, and much worse.
The feminization of America, replete with emotional, sensitive approaches to war and law enforcement, is among the most corrosive.
More than Carter, Clinton is responsible for spreading his disgusting values and unleashing terrorism on a naive and unprepared Western world.
Why did the opera company think it was necessary to include those particular three heads on the plate? Mozart did not write that into his opera. No, they did it for the publicity. And they got it... wow did they get it... and in the end, they caved in because they were gutless. They thought it would produce lines at the ticketbox... and nothing else.
Well, be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
Again...this is not the situation in which to run up the "political correctness" flag.
I disagree.
Only a feminized and neutered country like Germany, France or Spain could conjure such a cowardly concession to the Islamofascist vermin that infect the Western world.
Political correctness is exactly the reason, and it will be the death of all of us unless it is replaced with truth and reason.
And as a Christian...I'm glad that the opera was cancelled. Jesus is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings...He is not a prop for some juvenile opera company to use to court controversy.
I'm going to copy this and end it to my liberal friends..thanks.
Most welcome.
To the degree that the opera offends sensibilities across the spectrum, I agree.
But the cancellation was prompted by fear of Islamic reprisal, and that is a message that only emboldens these murderous barbarians.
Nooo... they made their artistic choice knowing full well the consequence of their actions. Knew it would raise a firestorm. Knew that Islam responds with violence at the drop of a hat. Well, they got what they wanted.
What they lacked was the guts to carry it out.
But the cancellation of the opera will embolden those murderous barbarians. I wish the opera company had thought of that before they tweaked the tail of the tiger forgetting all about its teeth.
This opera must have been played hundreds of times since it was written. ONLY NOW, is this a problem! Why? Because the proponents of the ideology of death and destruction know that the worldwide leftist media will LINK it to the POPE's words! and thus give justification to their fanatical howling, yelling, threatening, murdering, church burning, and other hate-filled actions that they are planning.
There are few . . . very few things in the universe in which one can have complete confidence, but one of them is that Mozart -- with a capacity to persist over 200 years -- will by force of genius prevail over stupidity du jour.
It looks like it's more of the same old laziness and lack of professionalism from the 'professional journalists' that we are seeing here, and thank you so much for bringing that to everyone's attention. This adds a new dimension to the entire story which we would not have had without your keen observations...thank you!
For a game like that I would not only be motivated to become a soccer fan but I would begin subscribing to cable TV at the Stoat Cave in order to see the whole thing....including the post-game rioting :-)
I'm guessing, however, that the German Government would view it as a Hate Crime and would jail the entire team for a thousand years in order to demonstrate their "cultural sensitivity".
In the meantime, the Religion of Peace will be taking over Germany and the rest of Europe in a tidal wave of beheadings and blood, to show their own brand of 'cultural sensitivity'.
