WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid released the following statement on comments made today by Vice President Dick Cheney:
"When the U.S. intelligence community confirmed that America is losing the war on terror because of Bush failures in Iraq, this White House lost all credibility on matters of national security. With Iraq in a civil war, Afghanistan moving backwards and our own borders unsecured, it's clear George Bush and Dick Cheney are desperate to hide their record and distort the truth. He is just saying what he hopes happens, Harry and his dem buddies are praying daily we lose the war on terror; they are giving aide and comfort to our enemy with statements like this, and the msm will eat it up. Harry could care less if anyone on this board, in fact, if anyone in america is killed by another terrorist attack, and long as he can say: gotcha to President Bush. These people are beyond sick, Harry is a national disgrace.
