Chris Wallace (FOX TV) just stated on the Monday morning news segment of Fox TV (aired in the 7:00 a.m. EST hour) that, not only did Bill Clinton retain his anger at Wallace after the interview was over and the cameras were off (despite Wallace trying to part on friendly terms), Clinton absolutely fumed at his own personal staff, right then and there while still on the Fox TV premises, for getting him into the interview with Wallace where he had earlier lost his head.
Wallace said Clinton's blow up at his staff for this mistake was very visible and very audible and very emotional.
Morning Bump!! Thanks!
"Clinton The Interview Mr Clinton reacted after presenter David Dimbleby asked him why he had an affair with Ms Lewinsky when he knew he was under investigation by special prosecutor Kenneth Starr for other matters.
Wagging his finger and getting visibly agitated, Mr Clinton expressed anger at the media's behaviour.
He said: "Let me just say this. One of the reasons he [Kenneth Starr] got away with it is because people like you only ask me the questions.
"You gave him a complete free ride. Any abuse they wanted to do. They indicted all these little people from Arkansas, what did you care about them, they're not famous, who cares that their life was trampled. Who cares that their children are humiliated.
"Nobody in your line of work cared a rip about that at the time. Why, because he was helping their story.
People like you always help the far-right, because you like to hurt people, and you like to talk about how bad people are and all their personal failings"
This IS his legacy! He'll be known for nothing else but a "Hot-headed, lying, cheating, womanizing, cellulite-covered marshmallow!"
kind of reminds me of movie portrayals of hitler's ranting and raving under similar circumstances. (totalitarian tea, anyone?)
"I always thought the Clinton Administration mostly stuffed socks down their pants. "
Oh, is that what killed the poor dog?
bttt
:-) Thanks, Mom! I was traveling and had limited internet access, but I did catch the interview on BOR
