AMSTERDAM — MPs from across the political spectrum have reacted with surprise to the suggestion by Justice Minister Piet Hein Donner that Islamic Law could one day be introduced in the Netherlands.
Sharia could come via democracy: Dutch minister Donner stands by Sharia Law remarks Labour (PvdA), the largest opposition party, said Donner had gone too far. MP Jeroen Dijsselbloem said his party rejected the acquiescence implicit in Donner's remarks. The Minister should be expending his energies to oppose the discriminatory concepts in Sharia Law rather than suggesting it could be a part of Dutch democracy, he said.
Right-wing Independent MP Geert Wilders warned he will table a motion of no confidence in Donner if he doesn't retract his words.

More and more, I am agreeing with that thought, for the Middle East, for the forseeable future. When modern day adults are brainwashed to behave, in politics, religion and culture like 7th century children having a temper tantrum, they are not ready for demoncracy; they will happily, knowingly, openly choose a Hitler.

So what's the surprise in the Netherlands Justice Ministers Piet Hein Donners suggestion that Islamic Sharia Law be introduced to the Netherlands? It's a forgone conclution. Experts in these things have predicted that the liberal Europeans are digging their own graves and by about 2030 many European countries will be Muslim-controlled. The Netherlands and France first, but the rest will follow slowly but surely. The reason is that the average European family now has about 1.6 children when you need 2.1 to just replace the existing population. Not only are the average Muslim famililies living in Europe having 5 to 7 children, they're bringing in their relatives en masse. On top of that the liberal Europeans are letting just about everybody in who wants to settle there, and most of these immigrants are also Muslims. It will be interesting to see if a Islamic-controlled European government will give out the same generous benefits and pay out the promised generous retirement checks to the Netherlanders and Frenchmen/women who have- and will-retire by then when they control that countries purse-strings. It will also be interesting if Islams Sharia Law will treat them as kindly and opened-armed as todays Europeans treat their Muslim brothers.
It's a race to assimilate, and Europe does not have much experience in that area.
The Germans were loathe to assimilate the ethnic Germans from Russia. They have looked down on the Turks for forty years without making a real effort to assimilate them.
Europeans can be racist toward other Europeans. A lot of people in the US consider a European a European, one people group. Europeans have another views. Just goes to show race is a social construct, and not a genetic one. You could theoretically mince races down so much that each immediate family--or even each person--was there own race.

You could ping or freepmail one of the German freepers for a probably more accurate opinion than this one, but it could be that they won't answer.
The Volga Germans resisted assimilation as much as they could. But Part from their language, they are--the ones I observed--more German than many modern Germans. As for the Turks, I think they are about as assimilated as African Americans are into white culture.
