"We contracted with people to kill him."
Has anyone but me thought this line was the most thought provoking line in the interview? Who was "contracted"? Was that "contract" legal? Did those "contractors" fail or did they sabotage the effort? Where are they now? Are they still on the job? Did GWB stop that effort? I could think of many more questions but you get the point. I believe this line needs serious investigation.

Who was "contracted"?
I assume he is talking about the Northern Alliance.

Who was "contracted"?Every president has those people with whom they can "contract with" to do special work...for the country, of course.

That line really is the most provocative in the entire interview. What he did is against the law. At first I thought he misspoke, but than he said it again. What an a$$ this guy is.

Well, considering that it was Clinton, he put out a "contract" but it had to go through Gorelick first. And since this would require cooperating with "unsavory" people in other countries, and because it would require cooperating with law enforcement and other intel agencies, it couldn't get past the wall.

All slick willy was doing was following the lead of his hero - Jack Kennedy. Didnt the Kennedy brothers (all three of them) hire the mob to get rid of Castro after all of their military-political moves had failed to do so?
Serious question here folks. But, I am still wearing my Nomex so have fun.

...Who was "contracted"? Was that "contract" legal?... It was a no-bid contract with Halliburton, and as usual they padded the books and didn't perform. At least that's what Slick Willie is saying now.

"We contracted with people to kill him." That's mob talk.
A Freudian slip, it would seem. It clues us in to the fact that he's been "mobbed up" since his Hot Springs days. And that largely accounts for why he's been able to evade justice his entire life.
