"There was a reason that women were not allow to vote and it is shown to us every election. Code Pink is not run by men. The major groups the FR stands against in the streets are made up of women. Women without God just love socialism. I hate to be the person to point out truth but women make up the majority against guns, beer, capitalism, and men. Some of us are living with the enemy."

First of all, I am a woman.

Second, I agree with everything you said above.

I think there ought to be an intelligence test immediately before anyone can vote. That would leave out all of the dummies that want to emotionally react by voting, rather than think things through.

Jeepers! With all the negatives, how did this jerk got to be President in the first place?

Rush used to put his finger on this every so often. He pointed out accurately that there is a large proportion of the population that actually wants to be lied to, wants to be told that they can trust someone or thing to insure that everything will be fine, under control, and that they therefore can feel secure and safe. It is a primitive means of dissipating anxiety but one upon which many people-- liberals generally, dyed in the wool union members, welfare clients, and especially certain women-- base their lives.

but there may be some hope: a good friend of mine's girlfriend made the claim back before the scumbags second term as "I'm voting for him because he's the best looking" (yes, I heard this with my very own ears-it almost killed our friendship. Thankfully he was a staunch Repub.) We lost touch after I moved away for several years ago and he recently contacted me. She's now his wife AND a staunch Repub and is so sorry for ever voting for the sinkmiester.
He stuck with here and brought here around so maybe there's hope for some of the rest.

Still, third party conservatives threw votes away on Ross Perot and gave us Clinton.

I know I'm not the only one who began the shift to reason during that election. I had always been a Democrat. That was the first time I didn't vote that way. I voted for Perot because as a lifelong Dem, I couldn't bring myself to vote for Bush. As a woman with a conscience, I couldn't vote for Clinton, either. I know.....I should have stayed home.

"Please check this post out, for an update to the actual percentage of women who voted for Clinton."

Thanks. I saw this after my earlier comment. I am not only female, I am also single. You can tell from the link which category I am in and the percentage like me that vote the way I vote.

And......it's a moot point now, but Perot could have won that election if he hadn't started "Doing the Hokey-Pokey".

The terrible thing at that time was Bush got really screwed by an event in the economy that Jimmy Carter caused (unintentionally) when he signed a bill that let some dangerous things happen in the S&Ls.

The S&L Crisis that was sapping the treasury between Reagan and Bush 1's administration is what made it tough and was born of what Carter signed in 1980.

Apparently, Perot had a personal thing against Bush, I know you must remember the strange deal where he claimed something about Perot's daughter, a wedding, Bush and threats?

Clinton had zero chance to be President without Perot.

Once in, Clinton had the immediate benefit that Bush would have had in his second term, which was the S&L Crisis ending and the flow of bale outs ending.

Carter started the S&L Deal and Clinton benefited with the help of a dumb sh!t Ross Perot.

Remeber also that the economy had turned around for 3 monts out of recession and none of the press would report that for Bush 1.

Perot never could have won anything.

He was a spitefully bastard who had a thing against Bush from the past.

The people were at that time all over Bush 1 for a recession that was actually caused by a bill from Jimmy Carter in 1980 that caused the S&L crisis.

Instead of going to the root and blaming the cause, the man who was in office.

Perot was on a personal vendetta against Bush1 and like all third party voting in a main election, might as well tattoo Democrat on your butt when you vote that way IMO.
