Gadzooks! Gabler Gouges McGreevey As 'Shameless, Disgusting'

Summer's over, but it's still way too warm for hell to freeze over. And yet . . .

The usually reliably liberal Neal Gabler has lambasted Jim McGreevey for his more-than-we-needed-to-know confessions about his homosexuality. Even more shockingly, Gabler singled out Sean Hannity for praise for conducting the toughest interview of the Oprahfied former governor.

On last evening's Fox News Watch, there was unanimity from right to left that McGreevey's book, 'The Confession', and his media blitz to promote it, was an unseemly undertaking in which his family paid the price while he basked in the limelight - and cashed large checks for advances and royalties.

Gabler's fellow liberal Jane Hall was not in a forgiving mood. She let it be known that had she been in Oprah's audience, she would not have been applauding. She noted the pain McGreevey had caused his wife and the "corrupt way" in which he put his alleged lover in office. When Hall spoke disparagingly of McGreevey's "coming of age," Gabler chimed in sarcastically about McGreevey's supposed "courage."

Conservative columnist Jim Pinkerton observed that the "ritual of victimhood" becomes increasingly absurd as the supposed victims become "less and less sympathetic," noting that McGreevey had bamboozled not one but two wives.

Gabler later got off his line of the night, stating:

"What he did was shameless, it was disgusting, and - hold onto your seats - Sean Hannity gave the best interview by nailing him [unfortunate choice of words] and asking about how he treated his wife."

In mock shock, host Eric Burns clung to his seat for dear life, as a laughing Gabler let it be known we shouldn't expect a repeat performance anytime soon: "this is the last time I say anything nice about Sean Hannity."

I heard Steve Adubato on Steve Mazberg's show yesterday. He too was extremely harsh on McGreevy. First time I'd ever agreed with him. And fie on New York Magazine for putting one of the more purient quotes from the book on the cover. Well, I suppose it was one of the more purient, maybe it was actually the mildest passage in the book. I'll never know, of course, since I'll never read it.

It's quite clear that his self absorbtion and self serving haven't suffered a bit.

Why do I get the feeling that these tell all books and out of the closet confessions are nothing more than homosexual advertising that says "I'm now available anytime, anywhere...." These people are just too damn bizarre and creepy.......

I like Fox Newswatch. Entertaining show inspite of that douchebag Neil Gabler. Cal Thomas is impressive in his restraint. If I sat that close to Gabler I'd smack him,,,,repeatedly.

Gabler has been kidnapped and replaced by Aliens.

I quit watching News Watch a long time ago because the whole panel resembled a can of mixed nuts.

But, a few weeks ago, I happened to catch a few moments of Gabler. He was ranting that (IIRC) confessed killer John Mark Karr was getting way too much press coverages for such a non-story.

I was floored. For the first time I was agreeing with Gabler. I even pinched myself to make sure I wasn't having a nightmare.

[It still doesn't make me want to watch that panel of mixed nuts, however.]

Oh, gabler! I know who you mean! The movie-introducer guy who isn't at AMC any more! A great political background, right up there next to Keith Olberman, who was brought over from ESPN to pMSNBC to run their signature sports program! Now that Bryant Gumble doesn't do sports any more (They told him they already had too many guys with no sports experience already. And too many white guys with no sports experience already.)

Re. the 1+hr. interview on the Sean Hannity show; it was my suspicion at the time and remains so, that Hannity gave McSlimey all that air time so as to pump-up the former governor's book sales. The fact that McGreevy's and Hannity's publisher are one and the same, Regan Books, did not go unnoticed. here at FR.
Perhaps the sales of Hannity's last book did not meet the expectations of Sean's last advance.

There is a bit of mysogyny in the male homosexual Movement, isnt there? After all, it's not women they're interested in and they certainly don't need them to live out perfectly content lives. In a conflict between their "lifestyle" and any responsibility toward "them" what are they going to choose, really?

Which is what explains the outrage of feminized liberals like Gabler. McGeevey may be a liberal, but hes not acting like a good feminist, I would think.

Don't you understand?

Liberal political sleaze bags like McGreevy are supposed to leave their enablers and sycophants in the media some wiggle room to defend his low rent values.

McGreevy's gutter values leaves them no room for nothing but scorn and it makes them mad.

Now imagine if Haley Barbour, governor of Mississippi, instead of New Jersey, McGreevy was pulling this stunt.

NYT's above the fold for at least a month

I think it's great this dirtbag wrote a cofessional. It shows the lurid details of how typically disgusting fags are.
Indiscriminate sex with strangers in public bathrooms.
Glory hole heros? Nice lifestyle. No wonder fags get aids.
