"So Terri, if Steve could have been a tree, what kind of tree would he have been?"

Try to give Wes and Mr. Stainton a closer second look, KK. The two men were brothers to Steve. They adored him and loved him dearly. And I think Terri feels this way, as well. Just remember during the memorial service and what few shots the cameras got of Terri. I think that the hardest speaker Terri had to hear was Wes. She was so broken up because I think she and Wes could totally relate. I think Wes was also Steve's soul-"mate." There are photos of the two of them comforting one another, each holding their little boy.

I believe both are protecting Terri because they both know that is really the best way to honor Steve...and what Steve would want foremost right now, as well.

[Baba WaWa may be a barking moonbat, but even she isn't dumb enough to try to make an 8-yo child, who just lost her much-loved Daddy, cry.]

Don't believe for one second that she won't.

LOL. I believe that qualifies as cruelty to crocodiles. :)

O.K. I'll withhold judgment. I guess I got suspicious of Stainton because during the memorial service he said he was Steve's "best mate," and I thought Wes was. Also, Stainton was cheerful, while Wes was choking back tears.

I hope to see Barbara's interview so I can get a feel for how Terri is doing. I know she is an extremely smart and independent woman; I'm just worried that she is very vulnerable and possibly depressed right now. But that's a good point that she has many people looking out for her -- including Steve's Dad.

I believe it will be part of the View. I'm at work anyway.

Please no, I don't want to have to listen to the other women as well. Barbara is travelling to Australia though, so it could be her own special.

It will air on "20/20" on Wednesday, 9/27 at 10:00 Eastern. I imagine it will be heavily promoted on the View though. Portions of the interview will air on Good Morning America.

KittyK, I truly feel that John Stainton was one of Steve's best friends. They were inseparable because John was the man behind the camera recording everything.

Wes was also Steve's best friend because they worked side by side in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

I also think that both are being very genuine with their feelings. My impression of John's affect at the celebration of Steve's life was that in order to keep it together, he touched on some of Steve's funny antics and bloopers. Don't forget, John gave Larry King a very raw glimpse into the first hours of Steve's passing. Every time I saw John Stainton that first week he was very distraught and tearful. The service at the zoo was Wes's turn to be self-actualizing and mournful.

I have no doubt that Terri is living each minute lower than she ever has been before. She's probably even feeling like she's walking through a bad dream. I'm sure she's been given time by herself to just scream and cry and throw things. I mean - look at how devastated we all are. Steve's personality leapt through my tv screen. Living life with someone like him - so energetic and thoughtful and caring and loving makes the loss that much greater.

Neither of these gentlemen are going to rest until they feel that Terri and her children are on the road to recovery - and I have no doubt it is going to take Terri at least, quite a number of years for her pain to subside.

Glad to hear you'll give them another chance.
