UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Iran is prepared to negotiate a suspension of its most sensitive nuclear work if it receives fair guarantees in talks with major powers, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday.

He said talks with the European Union on Iran's nuclear program were on the right track and he hoped no one would try to sabotage them, an apparent reference to the United States.

He said talks with the European Union on Iran's nuclear program were on the right track and he hoped no one would try to sabotage them, an apparent reference to the United States.

"We believe those negotiations are moving on the right path. Hopefully others will not disrupt the work -- in small ways perhaps. We think it is a constructive path to take," he said in a news conference at U.N. headquarters in New York.

In a relaxed hourlong joust with reporters, laced with religious references, Ahmadinejad avoided saying whether Iran would obey a U.N. arms embargo on Lebanon's Hizbollah militia, and insisted he was not anti-Jewish while denouncing what he called a power-seeking Zionist lobby.

They can buy the bomb and set it off from within the target with homicide bombers.
Though making it would be bad, they could have easily have already bought a few IMO.

There was a Russian informant who went public and asserts that they already have purchased suitcase nukes. Not sure what to believe anymore.

Figure Iran would seem to comply, a nuke goes off and they will of course claim to know nothing but understand how it could happen the way the USA is and all.

Something bad like that could happen IMO.

Actually, it was my error in cutting and pasting. If you click on the link, the article is written clearly. For some reason, the site would not allow me to cut and paste effectively. A lame excuse, but there it is.

To use another British phrase, we would have to be absolutely daft to believe any statements from that vertically challenged psycho.

I worked with an Irish guy once who's two favorite phrases were "absolutely daft" and "hoisted on the petard." When were grinding out computer programs, he'd say something like, "if we don't get these modules done by tomorrow, we'll all be hoisted on the petard."
