bullhockey
I take it that he has proof of this threat?
Still don't like Armitage, but hey... Chalk up one for the rotten B@$T4RD
Well, in that case, he made the right decision.
Armitage sin't got the ba**s to say anything close to that.
Gotta-see-this Ping!
Ping the pinglist...
How can you send a country back to the Stone Age when it's never left?
Taking down 2 towers, hitting the Pentagon and destroying 4 planes full of people is, shall we say, "very rude" as well. Since we wanted cooperation to get hold of OBL and his merry men, I am GLAD that we did this.
Frankly, we should do it more. Iran and that insane little pigmy who runs the place strike me as a good place and person with whom to renew the practice.
Armitage .............. again..........
We should have bombed them anyway without warning. They were allied with the Taliban before 9/11 and provide them refuge now altough they try to deny it by saying they are Kashmir or in areas where the Pakistain Military won't go because the tribal leaders hold a ton of power.
This isn't new news. I remember a piece written shortly after 9/11 that confirmed this. Wracking my brains to remember who wrote it. International guy for Wash. Times, I believe.
Bwahahahahahahah......Let's see the donks try and scream that GW tgreatened another country with bombing them, when the words actually came from Armitage (gossipy big mouth), the original Plame leaker, whom is shunned now by the whitehouse and has no political standing of any stature left with most of the GOP. Pelosi, Reid, Kerry , etal will not be able to use this as any ammunition against GW. I repeat, bwahahahahahahahahahahah.....
So instead, we sell them weapons.
And why would anyone think the threat was so strange?
If we were going to go after the Taliban and Al Queda and remove them from Afghanistan, and if Pakistan was not going to be "with us" in that enterprise, then Pakistan would have been an unobstructed sanctuary for the Taliban and Al Queda without active opposition from Pakistan. What else did Pakistan have a right to expect we would do, let them protect the Taliban and Al Queda sanctuaries in Pakistan?
As Bush said, you're either with us or against us. Either Pakistan wanted to protect and support the Taliban-Al Queda enterprise, or it didn't.
We shoulda done it anyway.
How I wish this were true.
"No, he just called him a d*ck"
I'm sorry, doesn't Pakistan have the bomb? A naked threat like this, I have doubts that it was like this, I'll bet it was more like "We are going to destroy the Taliban, and if you get in our way, and the Taliban are given safe haven in Pakistan, we will bomb Pakistan back to the stone age".
