LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Southern California formally complained that ABC-TV's Brent Musburger revealed privileged information in play-by-play commentary during Saturday's game against Nebraska.
The university sent a letter to ESPN, which oversees sports programming on ABC, saying Musburger, with less than 10 minutes to play and the Trojans leading 21-10, began describing how USC quarterback John David Booty lets receivers know he has spotted a certain kind of coverage.

That reminds me of NBC when they did the AFC games in the 70's and 80's.
At every Steeler game televised the announcer would be anti-Steeler announcer Bob Trrumpy.
When he recognizes the coverage he gets behind center and makes a "Booty call".
I hear the largest on campus organization at UC Berkeley is the College Republicans. They organized fifty of their members to join Protest Warrior counterprotest against the ANSWER rally in SF last March. That's impressive when you consider they're going to school in Berkeley.

....we just may....and I never guarantee a victory like some bozo's who look like dolts when their teams lose, especcially to a powerhouse team.....but remember, Cal was the last team to beat USC in regular play and almost beat them the year after at the coliseum....so if you win then I'll give you your due.....but I'll still be rooting for my Bears.....

haha.....well said...and I find you to be very fair and balanced...and to be honest...I never, ever attack anyone's team, state etc.....unless attacked first...and most of the time I'll try one attempt at diplomacy...but sometimes you have to defend the reality against those who generalize to an entire state from what they really don't know about... or just see in the MSM..... I don't like to get involved mud slinging garbage but when you start with the "fag" school crap etc....well that is about as pathetic as it gets.... It smacks of Democratic tactics...so in this case, I'll just assume that no other intellectual discourse is possible with some ......have a great day....
Ah, yes, the "Announcerless" game...I remember it well, I actually watched the plays develop without having someone explain to me what I was seeing...I learned that day that I DO know something about football!
If only they would turn off BM's mic, then I'd be one of the happiest fans in the sport!

Total All time: 55-31-6 (not including this year)... What is SEC vs. Pac 10 this year? Last I heard it was 3 to 1 in favor of the SEC again (and not a close game)

......wrong again jar head.....I'm not defensive at all and most people in the "know" admire Berkeley for their academics......and I don't put others down unless attacked first....go ahead.....read all the post and YOU"LL see that some souther guy started all this crap....so don't start. I have to admit....those calling other schools Berkeley South or whatever are only thinking about the town of Bekeley's liberal BS of Berkeley of the 60s....which is a long time ago.....you obviously don't know much about these institutions....and I never ever apologize for Cal....ever. So you can fallback on your football heritage there...that is all those schools offer....and the Pac 10 has 342 National Championships this century ranked #1 with the Big Ten ranked a distant 2nd.......so when you take all sports together.....we have a hell of alot more trophies..

yeah I saw that....it is ludicrous and stupid....I don't deny that Calif politics is more then stupid sometimes.. so what......this state is alot more then just politics or is politics and football all you care about?.....We also have the best university system, feed about 40% of the nation, have a GSP that dwarfs all other states and is 7th in the world...and besides....who do you think designs and invents all our nuclear weapons....you should be thankful for that
