Col. Bill Cowan was on Fox talking about this. He said he had it on solid info from a source in the Pentagon who he obviously has faith in that the drone was not armed and ordnance could not be brought to bear on that bunch quickly enough.

I don't buy the quickly enough part. I have asked others about that part and it really does not fly. Especially if we were able to track them "after" they left the funeral.
One of the aspects of showing this photo is that the mini-series did a huge deal of damage to the rats IMHO. They really need something besides a little in-fighting between McQueeg and GW to douse out the flames of their budding campaigns and their falling numbers almost everywhere simultaneously.
