MUMBAI (ICNS) -- Muslim leaders in India have criticized a recent speech by Pope Benedict XII in which he made references to Islam. Some of them have demanded an unconditional apology from the Pope, saying his “blasphemous statement against Prophet Mohammad” has offended Islam.
Shia Muslim leaders in the northern Indian city of Lucknow on Friday held a press conference condemning the Pope, and demanding an unconditional apology from him for issuing “a blasphemous statement against Prophet Mohammad.”
Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawaad said that the Pope must tender an apology for running down the Prophet and thereby hurting the sentiments and feelings of millions of Muslims across the globe.
“When the United States unleashes its terrorism against Muslims, the Pope turns a blind eye. He chooses to remain silent when Muslims are slaughtered in Bosnia or in Iraq or Lebanon; and for no rhyme or reason he goes on a vilification campaign against our revered Prophet,” the Maulana said.
He said, “the Pope’s remarks were not only uncalled for but also least expected by someone of his stature; he must therefore express regret.”
Ijaz Ahmed Aslam, assistant secretary general of Jamat-e-Islami-Hind, an Islamic social organization that counts 650 branches around the world said that the Pope "was less than sensitive to the sentiments of Muslims when he was referring to a king responsible for crusades."

We now have an adequate description of what constitutes "blasphemy" against the prophet Mohammed, namely, any statement that truthfully defines the prophet Mohammed, that olive-colored, penis-nosed, sheep-raping, goat-humping, camel-kissing pedophile.
If I was Pope, I would say this.
I am sorry if I offended your blood soaked so called religion. If I offended your young soon to be murderers and rapists, I again say I am sorry.

And to PROVE that the quotes refered to by the Pope were SLANDER, Muslims throughout the world have vowed to kill and torture those who agree with the SLANDEROUS quote.
You should see the reaction to the Popes speech over at DU.
The only religion they are tolerant of, and will defend, is Islam.
The Pontiff should give them all a single-digit blessing.

Gee when Innocent Christians are being murdered all over the glob by those representing the religion of peace you don't hear squat from the Islamic leaders. Just another infidel bits the dust. The Pope was quoting a predecessor from the time when the religion of peace was trying to force the known Christian world into the bondage of Islam. What I believe the Pope was trying to say was that nothing has changed. A very valid point that the Muslims will never admit to. They call us Crusaders still, so maybe the Christian world in the 21st century should start pushing back and really get medieval on their asses....
Watch the screaming Muslims (all men by the way - women aren't allowed in public) all over the world denouncing the pope for speaking the truth about Islam. Interesting that they are hollering the same phrases as when they cut off innocent journalists' heads. Nuts.
