For those that think that Islam/Muslims are a new problem.

Thanks.

If you talk with moderate muzzies(the one's living in your communities and working in your communities)you will find that even those muzzies indeed think we are infidels. They all envision an islamic America under sharia law.

I have resisted going here, but absent a bunch of "moderate muslims turning their radical brothers in to police and marching in the street against their atrocities) I tend to go with the comment. If it's true lets kick them all out and soon.

Sorry to see the Pope apologize for being correct. Another PC moment that will get us killed. Evil must be exposed for what it truly is and the threat it is to civilization. Why can't political leaders see it?

No! His words will not make any difference at all.

The same thing has been said over and over recently by our own President!

Very stupid, it's as bad as giving in to terrorism,it's the equivalent of letting them win.

I'm certain the response to this 'pain' from those poor victimized Muslims will be continued burnings and beheading of infidels.

Sorry to see the Pope apologize for being correct.

But he didn't. See reply #40.

"He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Very relevant to our times. Nowhere does Christianity say we have to roll over and be killed quietly. We don't live by the sword, but it has its time and place.

I know - the difference is evident to us - people who use reason - but it will be lost on Isalm.

Here is the paragraph in Pope Benedict's speech that people are talking about:

In the seventh conversation (*4V8,>4H - controversy) edited by Professor Khoury, the emperor touches on the theme of the holy war. The emperor must have known that surah 2, 256 reads: "There is no compulsion in religion". According to the experts, this is one of the suras of the early period, when Mohammed was still powerless and under threat. But naturally the emperor also knew the instructions, developed later and recorded in the Qur'an, concerning holy war. Without descending to details, such as the difference in treatment accorded to those who have the "Book" and the "infidels", he addresses his interlocutor with a startling brusqueness on the central question about the relationship between religion and violence in general, saying: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached". The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable. Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul. "God", he says, "is not pleased by blood - and not acting reasonably (F×< 8`(T) is contrary to God's nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats... To convince a reasonable soul, one does not need a strong arm, or weapons of any kind, or any other means of threatening a person with death...".

Here is a link to his complete speech.

Muslims.

Timothy McVeigh - Oklahoma City.

Janet Reno - Waco.

There. That pretty much covers every terrorist in the last 30 years. Two non-muslims, one terror act each

muslims - everything else.

And now the Pope acts Catholic, and people are upset. So what!

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

The Saudis remind one and all of this command by the prominent display of muhammed's sword on their national flag.

The shahada, The white, centered script, is the muslim statement of faith, "There is no God but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God".

There is the muslim philosophy and it's right there on their flag. If you don't accept the shahads, you get the sword.
