Bush:
Two vital pieces of legislation in Congress to defeat terrorism.
We will work with both parties to get bills out of cngress.
SCOTUS ruled military commissions must be ruled by Congress. Bill I proposed will see that terrorists get fair trials without having access to our national security secrets.
9/11 planners will face justice.
We will also provide clear rules for our interrogators. The info that the CIA has obtained by questioning KSM has provided valuable info to help deter terror plots including strikes in the US.
For example, KSM described planned strikes on buildings in the US. That's valuable information for those of us who have the responsibility to protect the American people.
KSM said the strikes would have hit buildings low enough so people couldn't escape from higher level floors.
