In any country, there are things you can say that'll get you boycotted by a large fraction of the public if you're stupid enough to say them into a microphone, then stupid enough to insult the offended fans for being offended.

THAT'S A BALD-FACED LIE. It's absolute bull, except in Canada, I guess you would say it's "moose." "Something like that" happens in Canada all the maddog time, and the likes of Barbara Kopple and the clueless Ms. Peck and the Ditzy Chicks haven't made a peep about it, probably because they were so blissfully enjoying their freedom of speech in the United States!
