After last night, that's not funny. One of the news nets did a story on Bill Frist's recent trip to Gitmo, complete with video.
There really is a comfy chair at Gitmo.
Used during interrogation.
It's a freaking La-Z-Boy recliner (and boy, I'll bet the La-Z-Boy folks are just thrilled).
Grrrrr.....

There really is a comfy chair at Gitmo.I saw a clip of Ted Koppel's tour of Gitmo that showed the comfy chair.
I'll admit, I thought, " I'll bet the terrorists didn't expect the comfy chair. "

Very nice! Congratulations to all forces involved.
This is such a major catch that I'm stunned (seriously) that this was not on radio or TV this morning that I had on before work. Thank goodness for FR!

Another bearded lady gives up without a fight. How stupid must young Muslim males be not to notice that they are the only ones who are supposed to die for the cause, while their leaders surrender and call a Amnesty International lawyer to get them off! They have no intention of dying for Allah.

Sorry for the late reply - I was in the shower. ;-)
I'm north of Chicago, but in the city often.
Did you get to Chicago?

Which is to say he saw the writing on the wall and determined the best course was to be captured rather than fruitless and likely resistance.
Although I know nothing of what really happened I can believe such a scenerio.

Awesome! I wonder why the Houston Chronicle made no mention of this in today's newspaper.

Let the waterboarding begin...!
Hey Hek -- you've been up in those mountains so long you probably haven't heard about the new water sport that is sweeping the region. Kinda like skateboarding or surfing. As part of your physical exercise here in this special prison we'll get you fitted with your very own board as a special gift from your new friends.

How come none of these guys ever jumps out a high window after questioning? Used to happen in New York precincts when they arrested child molestors.

Hang him high and hang him fast.....
Well first see what info we can "extract" from him, but since he knows we are not allowed to even muss his hair I doubt he'll be talking anytime in the next millenium.

"I wonder why the Houston Chronicle made no mention of this in today's newspaper."
It could be because:
a. See my post 117
b. It happened late last night, after deadline
I'd bet (a).
