Seeking Felony Indictment for Puppy’s Torturous Death

Target: Paul Howard, DA, Fulton County District Attorney

Joshua Molder, age 17, and brother Justin have been accused of Aggravated Cruelty to an animal and two other charges, and are currently jailed without bond. This petition, however, is focused on the Aggravated Cruelty charge.

ATLANTA -- Two Atlanta brothers are in custody at the Fulton County jail charged with the torture death of a five-month old puppy and trashing a local apartment complex. Seventeen-year old Joshua Molder and 18-year old Justin Molder are being held without bond. The Molder brothers stand accused of covering a puppy with paint, hog tying it, trying to set it on fire and when that didn't work, baking the puppy to death in an oven. Inez Marshal is president of the community association at the Englewood Manor Apartments in southeast Atlanta where Joshua and Justin Molder lived. She was called to the rec center the night the brothers were arrested for breaking into the newly remodeled building and trashing it. "They just totally demolished the community center," said Marshal. She said she'll never forget finding the puppy the boys stand accused of torturing and killing. "He was still in the oven; he was tied," said Marshal. "All four feet were tied together, his mouth was duct taped and he was dipped in beige paint," she added. "Not only did they not have an explanation, apparently they went out and bragged about this to other young people in the community, brought them back and showed them their work," said District Attorney Paul Howard. The Moulder brothers are charged with burglary, criminal damage to property and aggravated cruelty to animals.

We ask that the DA of Fulton County, Paul Howard or the attorney assigned to this case, aggressively seek indictment of a felony for this heinous criminal act based on the Anti-Cruelty Statutes of Georgia:

16-12-4. Cruelty to animals c) A person commits the offense of aggravated cruelty to animals when he or she knowingly and maliciously causes death or physical harm to an animal by rendering a part of such animal's body useless or by seriously disfiguring such animal. A person convicted of the offense of aggravated cruelty to animals shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, a fine not to exceed $15,000.00, or both, provided that any person who is convicted of a second or subsequent violation of this subsection shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, a fine not to exceed the amount provided by Code Section 17-10-8, or both.

Kill a human being and you at least get bail!

Nonsense. Anyone who grabbed a helpless toddler (or even an adult, for that matter), hog-tied the victim, dipped him/her in a flammable substance, tried to light him/her on fire, then duct-taped his/her mouth shut to block his/her cries for help, and stuck him/her in an oven to be baked to death, would NO WAY be getting bail.

Not with Hillary's village.

There's no way that my mother and father should be held accountable for the times I defied them prior to my 18th birthday. The accountability for those things lies squarely on my shoulders. Granted, I never did anything remotely close to the acts of the two monsters in the story, but that doesn't change the fact that their parents are not (or are only tangentially) responsible.

Regarding your solution, might as well lock up Snoop Dogg, Spike Lee, a plethora of other entertainers, the local government officials, and the administration and staff of the schools that the brothers attended. Those are the ones who really raised these beasts.

Make these little mutts stop breathing, and fast. Puppies today, toddlers tomorrow. It's just a matter of time.

Let these two loose, and they'll be doing this to toddlers they've sired and/or to toddlers born to their current gal-pals. It's quite likely that they are already biological fathers.

Are you having "one of those days" when you just can't believe what you're reading *here*?

I know I am.

No wonder some consider Republicans/conservatives to be "heartless".

[and yes, I'm anti-PETA, pro-hunting/gun and I eat meat *but* I despise cruelty to -any- creature regardless of how many legs it has...or if it no legs at all. Cruelty is cruelty and is not species quantifiable, IMO ]

Under your twisted legal logic, bestiality should be legal because no human is hurt. Animal welfare laws are constitutional and have been court tested.

My ex used to tell me stories of "launching" mice and other small animals via bottle rockets.
He told a "funny" story of what he and his brother did to their aqaurium full of fish as an "experiment".

I did not heed the warning signs.

Later in life he got his ya-yas by beating me, attempting to beat the dogs and [I suspect] poisoning a large number of small caged pets I had who all died suddenly with no symptoms of illness whatsoever.

The dog would beg to differ...if it could.

And it did try to at the time. But these monsters responded to that by duct-taping its mouth shut.

All the posters who want to give these two a slap on the wrist and let them go better be prepared to take responsibility a few years down the road, when one or more of their girlfriends' helpless young offspring are found dead in a squalid apartment, with their mouths duct-taped shut, and bearing evidence of dozens or hundreds of prior beatings.

Yes, some of the posts in this thread are outrageous and are the type of thing trolls like to look for so they can run to their DU buddies and brag about how we are all like that. I sometimes have hope that these posters are simply stirring the pot and don't really think that way.

"In that case, I hope they move next door to you and you let them babysit your kids."

Just because I think they don't deserve death penalty for this "crime", I don't believe they should be given congressional medal of honor. Or babysit any kids.

Your attitude needs adjustment.

Why? He's right. Crimes against humans deserve more severe penalties than against animals.

I agree they committed a crime and should have the book thrown at them, but animals should NEVER have more protections than people.

I suspect that if relevant authorities visited the homes of these posters and/or interviewed their past acquaintances/spouses/significant others, they'd turn up evidence consistent with the views expressed.

"But these monsters responded to that by duct-taping its mouth shut. "

Don't ask me why but *that* infuriates me most of all.

What?
The cowardly little demons "couldn't stand to hear" its screams of agony?

I hope they get the chance to hear them echoing inside their evil skulls for all eternity.

"All the posters who want to give these two a slap on the wrist"

I always take note of those folks and avoid them in future threads.

Show me how you consider creatures lesser than yourself and you tell me what you are.
That philosophy [once learned the hard way] has never failed me.

More like they were afraid they'd get caught in the act, when people came running to investigate the desperate screams. They probably ENJOYED hearing its futile screams.

That poor animal. I just cannot fathom the mindset that these monsters had when they did this.

There's some serious miswiring of the brains going on there, and there is a good chance they will apply this ungodly hatred to human beings at some point in the future unless they're either 'stopped' or incarcerated.

Kill them now before they move on to humans.

Indeed. Animals such as this are not fit to roam freely among any human population. Make fertilizer out of them. Immediately.
