That was my overall greatest impression.
If any middle of the road people happened to stick it out through the terrible beginning, then I think that is what would have impressed them most. That this is going on all over the world and they are implacable. It's deeply disturbing.
Other impression was that Albright actually had an argument for why she warned the Pakistanis that we were firing missiles at bin Laden in 1998. It was actually a good, intelligent argument. Sorry she wasn't smart enough to figure a way around that so the missiles could reach bin Laden before the Pakistanis warned him to clear out.
I am sure that the other shoe will drop tomorrow night.
Actually I think that ABC did a good job.
However, ABC did demonstrate that even the bad guys, al-queda, aren't completely wrong by showing them waving around a banner that proclaimed "Clinton = Satan". I thought that was right on the money and was glad to see they weren't being specific as to which Clinton they were talking about...
That scene was shown in the Pacific Time Zone.
We didn't see Berger trying for hours to get in touch with Clinton on a golf course.
Ping - Good for ABC. OK, WHO rented the b*lls over there? ;)
If you really want to capture the essence of the peaceful Muslims we are dealing with, then visit Ogrish.com and view a beheading video.
I have veiwed the scenes Clinton objected to and most of them were kept in the movie. Anyway, I thought it was well done. All of us citizens have been part of the problem as well. We have elected these bozos and many of us stay unaware and uninformed.
Take a look at the footage again. The whole night scene where they locate Ben Laden and seek approval to get him was cut out.
You said -- "The whole night scene where they locate Ben Laden and seek approval to get him was cut out."
I thought I saw the "seeking approval" portion in the TV version. I saw the discussion, where they were saying (on the TV version) something to the effect -- for him to make the decision. Are you sure you didn't see that on TV?

To this day I get a huge laugh thinking about the clip of Clinton at Brown's funeral. Especially the way Rush Limbaugh just lampooned it on his former TV show....I still stop by the EIB 24/7 side just to watch that clip....tottally hilarious. I recalled back then that surely such a clip would prove what a total waste of DNA Clinton was and no one would support the fool afterwards...
I didn't count on so many Americans being bigger fools than Clinton.
I didn't watch it...I was "backing up" Flight 93 that I bought today...at least I know that was the truth.
How many time have I told you not to hit yourself in the head with a hammer.
That scene with Kirk in the field with the NA waiting for authorization from the WH was cut way down. All the night goggles stuff is gone and the hemming and hawing by Berger was cut way down to one hem and haw.
Also I noticed that they cut out the line by John O'Neill on the phone to Clarke (?) about "What is Clinton going to do?" and the person on the other end says "I don't know" and O'Neill responds, "This Lewinsky thing is like an albatross around his neck, but he needs to do something."
Cyrus Nowrasteh says that the Predator drone spying Bin Laden in Afghanistan is on the second night, so I was happy to hear he included that in the movie--unless ABC edited that out as well. Also the infamous wall scene is in Part 2--unless, again, it was also removed.
AMEN!
It was my understanding that that was one of the key flaws in bubba j's plan of action. He got Mary Jo White, a federal prosecutor in NY, to get an indictment to arrest binny and haul his skinny bod back here for prosecution.
Bush, otoh, declared war and then DID war. He left the prosecutors in their proper place and sent the warriors out.
