I didn't know if there was a west coast version of this thread. It didn't make sense to post on a show that was almost over on the East Coast.
TOPICS: News/Current Events; War on Terror

I hope your taped version is better than the liveflow.
The camera work is dreadful - shaky camera and way too many close ups. If this was meant to portrait real time coverage it failed - badly.
Will watch it in its entirety because of the subject matter, but so far 0 out of 10 for technical merit.

Why give any ratings to ABC, especially after they edited to the specs of the left? I don't know about any of you on this forum, but isn't it unethical to give money to those that despise you?

Are you saying you didn't watch tonight. Because, if so, you missed an important piece of television artistry. Get the video if you can.
To: Balding_Eagle
we have Direct-tv also. You can get your local channels on satellite for 3.00 more on your bill depending where you are at. There is a complete listing of cities that offer local channels in Direct-tv guide magazine.

Mattie's explanation (excuse, whatever) was that the Pakis might mistake our missiles for Indian ones and start firing on India.
Of course the Paki government was infested with AQ supporters so that meant the plan had zero chance for surprise and success.
Perhaps if we fired the missiles from a direction other than India it might have helped Paki missile defense to figure it out. :-)

Well geez, did you see the way those people live over there? Shacks made out of pieces of corrugated iron and concrete. Not a blade of grass or a tree. Maybe if they would worry less about what America is doing and make an effort to clean up their own surroundings they wouldn't be so hateful.

I know it's poor there but really, what accounts for the stark difference? The government, pure and simple.

The film tonight certainly showed Clinton not only waffled during his campaigns, but behind closed doors, and in situations where decision making skills, or the lack thereof, were critical.
On a MUCH lighter note, has anyone checked on the DUmmies tonight? Are they still conscience over there?

I had the same reaction to the camera work in the early part of the movie. The jerky movements were actually bothering my eyes. And, not sure why the need to close in on someones eye?? But, overall, thought it was a good movie.

Thats the scene where the Filipino interrogator is wrapping a short length of chain around his hand as he walks into the room to pry some answers out of the little insect. Panties indeed.

that happened a long time ago. I can see no benefit for all the hooplah the media has been going though to pump up Hillary for a run, unless she and the media were both convinced it was doable. So it could be argued, reasonably, that Hillary never was, and never will be, a real, serious, contender for the Presidency, but it is very obvious that she and her ilk in the media and Hollywood elite have been seriously delusioned on the subject, and have been working 24/7 to try to make it happen. They really do believe they can pull the wool over our eyes, if they can just do it the right way.
The "TV HILLARY" was no coincidence...and the billboards splashed across America reading "THIS FALL... A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT" were intended more for Orwellian effect than to promote the tv show. We are being programmed to accept a woman president, SPECIFICALLY, because Hillary is a woman, and the left wants to just Coronate Her Highness already and be done with it.
Quite frankly, if you have noticed, the re-emergence of Whoopi, Rosie, and the promotion of Katie, all in the same time-frame, must also be a part of the larger plot to put in place operatives to influence opinion. Hillary's girls are in places of power. Whoopi and Rosie on radio, Katie actually sitting on the throne of media power at CBS. That must have been Step Two or Three on the "List Of Things To Do To Elect Hillary."
So, I agree that she can't win, but we ignore her at our peril. We really need to get up there to NY and help some qualified candidate kick her butt out like we did Tom Daschle.

It's the one where the American officials were talking about the Philippine case. The Philippine female captain opened the computer, whereas in this country, a warrant would be be able to be obtained.

The overlay of Clinton saying "I never had sex with that woman" and then later in the show retracting his denial was devastating in the context of terrorists trying to kill as many Americans as possible. Clinton comes off as a petty pathetic excuse for a national leader. The movie is devastating--not because of any one scene or scenes--but in its overall portrayal of an administration in disarray when American (and other innocent) lives were endangered and lost.

The real Masood (not the actor) has a Bob Dylan look to him. He was a real hero as leader of the Northern Alliance. Sad part is if Clinton et al eliminated OBL back in the 90's Masood would still be alive today. Sad part for all of us (plus you Clinton lovers) is if OBL was eliminated back then Clinton could be a hero today instead of protecting a weak tarnished legacy.

Even with Tenet knowing he failed, everyone in Washington is still clinking glasses. It's like everything is meaningless, trivial, unless it affects their reelection or poll ratings. It's sick!
