I didn't know if there was a west coast version of this thread. It didn't make sense to post on a show that was almost over on the East Coast.

I'm glad to hear it's good, but I wait to hear Rush's review on the caving bit.
It occurred to me perhaps why ABC did not pull the film completely off the air. The ABC executives wanted not to be perceived caving to pressure whereas the Clinton Administration caved under pressure to get OBL when they had the chance(s). So ABC bent a little bit to the pressure but did not cave like Berger and Albright.
Conclusion: ABC had some testosterone where Slick et al had none..( except for Monica, Jennifer etc...)
Is it possible -- maybe the tide is turning and they will actually see there is a conservative market out there and they would do well to start playing to it.

I think this is a fascinating show- I wonder how much of this is lost on folks who havent followed the terrorism business and geopolitics carefully for the past decade, or at least, since 9-11.
It certainly ought to put to bed the delusion that the world hates us because of George Bush, or that negotiating with those who seek to destroy us...is an option.
I am having a hard time watching the portrayal of John O' Neil knowing the irony that he died in NYC on 9-11 because he was there for a Ramzi Youseff proceeding. The movie also ties the assassination of the northern alliance leader Massoud to the events of 9-11 which occurred in tandem.
It is going to be hard to watch the attack on the USS Cole and see the vintage film of Clinton promising justice.

So, if the Cole attack was dumped, does that mean that Barbara Bodine skates without the contempt she deserves? She thwarted John O'Neill's investigation and threw him out of the country. If you haven't read it, I highly recommind John Miller's, "The Cell," on which part of tonight's movie was based. The missing parts will be there.

Just finished watching the first installment. In a word, Awesome. There is nothing in this movie that we have not heard piecemeal for the last five years. Seeing it all at once is very powerful, disturbing and infuriating. People in the field were on the ball. Clinton's people at the top were busy triangulating. Gee, what a surprise.
It is scary beyond belief to learn that only two alert female law enforcement officers stood between us and two utter catastrophes that would have made 9/11 seem like a child's party. It actually made me feel like we were lucky that all we have lost here in America so far in this war was 3000 people. If these bastards' plans had worked it would have been more like 300,000.
I really don't know why the liberals are so upset about this program, except that for about 25 seconds it reminded people about Monica. In fact, I would think they would be thrilled that our government officials were so careful not to harm any civilians or violate any Constitutional rights of terrorists, and that they made sure the chain of command was correctly followed at all times. They were such good little boys and girls!
