THEY JUST CUT 30 MINUTES from tonight's airing and are replacing the missing parts with a Nightline special.

AussieBabe's husband watched it last night their time --- posted LIVE updates to us beginning at 6:45 AM CDT wherein he told me he had nbeen watching for 45 minutes.

His last post to me was at 9:25 AM CDT.

The Aussie version played only 2 hrs and 30 minutes --- and it's devastating.

Honestly, onyx, I believe ABC had no plans to show this WITHOUT commercials....initially. My take is that having no commercials is part of their strategy, part of their deception. This is unprecedented.

Reportedly, all the editing was completed on Friday which would allow for the chopped 30 minutes and the insertion of Nightline.

Part 1 ends on New Year's Eve, 1999 with John O'Neil group (along with Custom Agent) thwarting the millennium attacks.

It is past midnight now, going to bed. It looks likes they did make cuts, but still makes Clinton's administration look like idiots. John O'Neil is the real hero in this movie so far.

Although now in the last scene where Clinton launched the missiles on Bin Laden, I think they must have cut a lot of scenes and make him seem almost sympathetic. After they missed Bin Laden they all showing an attach by the Taliban on the Northern Alliance. The Northern Alliance says that Washington doesn't know what they are doing.

Another very damaging scene for George Tenet and Sandy Berger after embassy bombings. Agent breaks down and accuses them of being responsible for deaths because they didn't act on Bid Laden. I can see why Sandy Berger hates this.

Last scene just made Sandy Berger look like an idiot. The CIA and Northern Alliance has Bin Laden in sight and want to attack. They finally get the go ahead. Showed clip of Clinton saying he didn't have sex with Monica --not too complimentary about Clinton making decision to get Bin Laden (he didn't want to know about it). Commercial just interrupted.

A little bit of controversy. The movies is making John O'Neil and Richard Clarke look very good. John O'Neil just defied the "secretary of state" (didn't say Albright's name) when they had the mastermind of the WTC bombing cornered in Pakistan. He defied orders and sent in the agents and they captured him and brought him back to New York. The trial is finished and all sentenced to long term prison (no death penalty back then for terrorists). The movies is still excellent in my mind.

Hi I am actually aussiebabe's husband. On another post they asked her to report on The Path to 9/11 movie since it started to be shown here in Australia about 2 hours ago at 8:30pm and doesn't finish until 11:50 pm.
She asked me to report on it since she didn't stay up to watch it. It is being shown here with commercials, so far has been about the WTC bombing, the Philippines airline bombing by the same mastermind and then the Philippine police discovering the plans. It is an excellent program, so far nothing that I see that is controversial. If someone would start a new thread on the movie, I could post during the commercials.

This is aussibabe's husband. I watched the first 40 minutes. It is being shown with commercials here. It is excellent, so far it has only been about the 1973 bombing of the WTC. I don't see anything controversial yet that either party could complain about. It is gripping so far.

It looks like they may have taken out 1/2 hour on monday's part II.... if you take out for the W's speech, and they have some other show listed at 10:00 now.....
I AM TICKED. Don't think i'll bother to watch it now. I only watch 2 shows on ABC, so they won't miss me. I called them in october, 2002 and told them i'd never watch their news again and i haven't.

I tried, but the connected seemed to be smoldering from all the traffice, at least that's what I considered to be the problem when I triend to view the linked material.

ABC said they were going to make the show available online.

I'll check that out next to see if links are up.
