September 10, 2006 -- Bill Clinton's camp yesterday demanded that ABC can its controversial film "The Path to 9/11," due to air tonight - and in a scathing new letter accused the network of exploiting the tragedy for ratings. Clinton's wrath comes amid new revelations that the Toronto set of the fictionalized flick was plagued by actors' concerns that the script was playing fast and loose with the truth, sources told The Post.
Clinton's lawyer, Douglas Band, and the CEO of his foundation, Bruce Lindsey, penned the fuming missive to ABC bigwig Bob Iger. It was dated Friday but released to the press yesterday.
It begins with a friendly "Dear Bob" salutation - but quickly leaves the pleasantries behind.
"As a nation, we need to be focused on preventing another attack, not fictionalizing the last one for television ratings," it reads.
But Clinton's aides, in a race to beat the clock before tonight's scheduled 8 p.m. telecast, used stronger language yesterday.
"Do the right thing for the country and pull this despicable work of fiction from the air," urged Jay Carson, a Clinton spokesman.
"Airing something that is incontrovertibly incorrect at a time like this is inexcusable."
One controversial fictionalized scene that sparked outrage features then-National Security Adviser Sandy Berger declining to give the go-ahead to kill Osama bin Laden.

Did you send a letter to the station? I did and so did others.
I seriously doubt there count of 200,000. They lie about everything.
If all of us sent a letter, is would be way over their 200,000.

Clinton will only go the legal route if he can pass the cost off to some foundation or big donor. Maybe his insurance carrier will step in like they did for the Paula Jones payoff. Since he and the RATS are intertwined with the movie industry I would think those FOB's would whip out a rebuttal or their fantasized version of 911. This collective, and selective, RAT outrage is a preview of what this country is in for if they ever get back in power. Use of the legal system to get their way is a large part of the Clinton MO.

Clinton should be in jail, not writing letters.

In what I read, most people seem to think this show was written by someone who is 'supposing' what went on and what was said. Negative, folks!
This is the product of information given by people who were in a position to know the facts. Some named, some anonymous.
I am sure there are gaps that could not be substantiated and, in fairness, should be so noted on-screen.

"Their job", when done well, is to portray the universal truths of the human condition, to capture the truths of human emotion, and make that which is ordinarily individual resonant for the many.Sounds good and noble. If only it was the way of it. Universal truths of the human condition? Well, there would have to be some conservative views in there somewhere and, generally speaking, there aren't. People are drawn to their "art" for escapism. They don't go looking for "lies" it is just forced fed to them.

I heard it wasn't Sandy Burglar hanging up on the OBL hit team.
It was Bill Clinton.
And the "Path..." has (had?) Mad Halfbright doing the honors.
Pity that all real reporters have been replace by either wannabe pundits, or dimwits looking for a
"media" position with the DNC.

Bruce Lindsey is a scum of a lawyer who was documented to have taken bribes. The company that paid the bribe was convicted. He was never even investigated for taking the same bribe. Sounds like that is a perfect person to represent Bill Clinton, methinks.

Series means multiple. mebee abc will extend the series going by chronicling bubba's entire miserable life in this fashion of truth. It'll be like Tom Sawyer on Yellow Sunshine.
To: Thebaddog
If this is some kind of rope-a-dope strategy, it would be to portray the actual failings of the Klintoon administration in an exaggerated or embellished manner, hoping that then the public would write off the actual failings as mere TV fiction.
If that is what they are playing, I think it will backfire, BIG TIME.

The longer we remain "safe", the more the left will demand an end to the war, an end to profiling and intelligence gathering, an end to "scaremongering".
And just as surely, the day we are attacked again, the left will scream that Bush didn't do enough to keep us safe.

Is there any record of any of these people raising any objection to Farenheit 911?
I thought not. There is plenty of documentation of their lying publicly. There is plenty of documentation of their tolerating lies which benefit them.
Consequently, even if this movie were a partisan lie, they would have no leg to stand on. But since it's not, they're just despicable and pathetic. What a bunch of babies!
