Is it just me, or is this the most stupid stunt since 9/11? "15,000 arab students across the US"..... are we asking for the next 9/11 from within?

new educational exchange program

under which Saudis will have full rights and be allowed to practice their Wahhabi cultism while US student in SA will be prevented from bringing religious material with them and will be prohibited from practicing their religions.

Ah, nothing like learning to understand each other better! Wuddah country!

Thousands of Saudi students are enrolling on college campuses across the United States this semester under a new educational exchange program brokered by President Bush and Saudi King Abdullah.

This will quintuple the number of Saudi students and scholars in the United States by the academic year's end.

Good that 9/11 bombers came from Iraq, Syria and Iran and not from Saudi Arabia.

Colleges do it for the money, pure and simple. They would like us to think that they are above that, but in reality they are all scrambling for the money.

Not one effort has been made to stop the Saudis from teaching
their people to murder Americans, Christians and Jews (pigs and monkeys in Saudiese).

They murdered 3000 Americans per hour on 911 and NOTHING has been done
except to encourage their funding of American madras.

what they are asking for is students who pay full-tuition.

a good example of 'follow the money,' or 'we'll sell them the rope they hang us with,' etc.

Seems to me it is the liberal universities who are spearheading this.

Afterall someone has to pay for their cushy jobs and wood paneled offices.

>>a new educational exchange program brokered by President Bush and Saudi King Abdullah.

"It's an opportunity to increase understanding of Saudi Arabia for the United States and of the United States for Saudi Arabia." <<

We have elected the most naive president since Jimmy Carter.

Liberals are like this, though. Carter thought if you were nice to terrorist nations, and try to show you understand them, they would be nice to you. Madalyn Halfwit thought the same thing. As does Bush.

You see, it's our fault. We don't *understand* them. And that's on us.

This is international version of the "New Tone."

And it will be every bit as effective.

Where was the NEA and other teachers associations on this one - where was the State Department - multicultural has only served to Balkanize not unite.

Call your elected and complain loudly....keep the heat on them - don't assume this was a Bush decision.

Nothing like dual Engineering/Islamic Studies degrees from American universities to help the well-rounded terrorist get ahead in life... Heck, Khalid Sheik Muhammed took his mechnical engineering degree from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 1986, and look where he ended up.

This is an example of why all the golden words spoken by W count for nothing. W is NOT a man of integrity. The problem is, the jihadis know this, but W's own supporters do not.

'Martyrs' In Iraq Mostly Saudis Web Sites Track Suicide Bombings
By Susan B. Glasser Washington Post Staff Writer Sunday, May 15, 2005; Page A01snip

Who are the suicide bombers of Iraq? By the radicals' account, they are an internationalist brigade of Arabs, with the largest share in the online lists from Saudi Arabia and a significant minority from other countries on Iraq's borders, such as Syria and Kuwait.----

Some of the Freepers are getting suspicious of our relationship?

Like anything else, there are pluses and minuses.

The pluses are the former King Hussein, his son (current ruler) and his son's wife are all American educated and Jordan has been as pro western as you can get and not be assasinated.

The minuses are mohammed atta and 9-11.

I think the old shah of Iran was western educated.

In the 80's I went to graduate school and one of my classmates was arabian who got kicked out because he liked american girls too much to the point where he alledgedly abused his position as a graduated TA.

Except for the fact that american girls dress like tarts, on the whole they can be a very civilizing influence on the 72 virgin crowd.

"These 15,000 students will really jump-start education, and that will be a great addition to the kingdom," Mr. Goodman said. "At its base, it's about mutual understanding."

This is why you've got to question the ability of America to survive it's own greed and stupidity. In my life I've witnessed the 'profitization', (if I can invent a word), of formerly non-profit organizations; from higher education to health care to the Red Cross. And corporations don't want to make large profits anymore, they want to build global empires. It's all about obtaining piles of m-o-n-e-y, and we are truly selling our souls and our future down the drain in the insane quest for it. Same thing holds true of our elected officials, from Bush on down, who are selling our country out to illegal aliens in return for a temporary boost to our economy and a last-ditch means of patching up our impending Social Security disaster. No country will last forever, but in our stupidity, spiritual blindness and greed, we are heading for the all-time record of shortest existence ever for a nation.

Just another attempt to make the saudis "like us"....appeasment and "diplomacy". For all Pres Bush has done, I don't think it has really sunk in yet that there is no negotating with people whose base line is.."we are going to kill you all".(Rush Limbaugh)

It is clear to me that the student deal is a "carrot" designed to offer the saudis a few of us, or maybe a lot of us, but not ALL of us....when most of here us know that a few, or a lot of us will never be enough...

They have promised to kill us all...

This is an exceptionally adroit move by the President and the King.

Freepers are bigoted toward Saudi's based mostly on bad press and general ignorance. The bias is not deserved because it is directed at a few rather than the many.

The best way to counter the AntiAmerican propaganda is to have many educated citizens who know the truth. By living in American heartland away from the sin filled bluezone coasts, the good and the english language will rub off.

You should rest assured that King Abdullah will carefully vet those in this program to insure none are AlQueda.

Once again.....this is a truly great announcement.
