John Kerry: Post-9/11 policy hasn’t made world safer

Post-9/11 policy hasn’t made world safer: Rather than occupying Iraq, we must destroy al-Qaeda By John Kerry Saturday, September 9, 2006

Five years after Sept. 11, where are we? Bogged down in Baghdad, beleaguered around the world and bitterly divided at home.

Democrats have a unique responsibility not just to oppose what has failed but to propose a new course that can defeat jihadist terrorism once and for all.

There are many things we can and must do better, but there are five steps to start: Redeploy from Iraq, recommit to Afghanistan, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, reform our homeland defense and restore America’s moral leadership in the world.

Wounding yourself in Vietnam did not make your men safer.

John Kerry Heinz failed to mention the approach he described in the Presidential Debate with President George W. Bush:

"I would treat these attacks as a nuisance..."

I will never understand why the MSM treats the loser Kerry as the point man. Why do they continue to ask him his opinion? Who cares what he thinks, he's a LOSER! The American public saw him for what he is and chose someone else.

When Bush lost to Clinton I don't remember the MSM asking Bush what he thought about the Clinton administration. It's all about them and it makes me sick.

i think the part that is MOST laughable about this article is his uh-hum to reducing dependence on foreign oil. he suggests NO ideas to do this, like, for example, not jetting around the country all the time for private affairs. nor does he encourage American oil drilling.

these democrats...all they do is support actions and then backtrack when things go south, get on tv and in print intoning macabre apocalyptic warnings about the course of actions we have taken.

weasels with 20/20 hindsight, one and all.

i may be unhappy with the repubs, particularly with the immigration issue, but i sure don't think the dems have anything whatsoever to offer in the way of guidance or improvement.

Gee, I guess I must've slept through all the successful attacks then, Jean Francois.

Iraq: Same war, different front.

It all sounds like more of the same from Kerry --- rhetoric without specific details.

to propose a new course that can defeat jihadist terrorism once and for all.

A new course that can defeat jihadist terrorism? Well, that is new from Kerry. But, again, Kerr lacks any specific details. It would be interesting to know specifics for this. Too bad that Kerry will never let us know how he would go about defeating jihadist terrorism -- unless he means to bore them into submission with some of his long-winded speeches.

***Post-9/11 policy hasn’t made world safer: Rather than occupying Iraq, we must destroy al-Qaeda ***

After stating this Hani John goes on to state his plan.

***Redeploy from Iraq, recommit to Afghanistan, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, reform our homeland defense and restore America’s moral leadership in the world.***

What part of that plan will destroy AlQuaeda.

Someone needs to tell Hanoi John we are fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. Al Quaeda is spread around the world. How can Hanoi John restore America's moral Leadership around the world by cutting and running from an enemy?

As usual this Commie's plan sucks. he seems to always have a plan, most of them he dosnt present to us, probably because they suck too.

Cut N Run and appease the Eurotrash and the terrorists. A "more sensitive foreign policy subject to a global veto." That's the essence of what the French Poodle wants us to do five years after 9/11.

Sure John, we are just terrible as a nation. We just can't do it right, we are just as bad as the terrorist! Everyone just HATES us including YOU and the DBM/dems and you think your Five-point plan is going to change that?

Pathetic LOSER!
