I wonder how many people rang in Memorial Day this year sitting in a darkened room watching HBO's documentary of the slaughter of the World Trade Center and weeping. This was a different sort of Memorial Day; these are different times. It is hard to always remember really how different they are, and that catches and sometimes trips up even people whose business it is to be sensitive to fresh rhythms. The other day, reacting to not much of a story about not much of a warning that President Bush was given before Sept. 11, Democratic congressional leaders went a-shrilling all over the place demanding to know What the President Knew and When Did He Know It, and Republican congressional leaders shrieked in response their horror that anyone would Question the Commander in Chief in a Time of War.

We are now entered into a serious time, a time of protracted conflict. To some degree, we will be engaged in this alone; certainly in the sense that a leader is alone. And we must lead. No one else has the capacity to direct what will become a fluid and shifting alliance between the nations that wish to promote democracy, trade and order arrayed against the nations and extranational forces that wish to promote fascism, gangsterism and smash-and-grab anarchy. We have a president who seems to understand this, which is helpful. We have a people who seem to understand it too, which is essential.

It's also pretty clear that dems get down on their knees and pray every night for another 9/11 on American soil. This is a sure ticket back to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.. The fact that their behavior, and that of the MSM has given aid and comfort to the enemy...should make them weep. Maybe Liberals think their heads won't be lopped off and their women stoned to death when Muslims take over. Only the lumpen will suffer, so what.
They're barbarians, pure and simple. They have nothing, no sense of self worth other than Islam, so hate and envy rule their lives. They won't change. The world marches on and mow they have the bomb, so simply kicking them out won't work. It might save us from the odd car bomb or two, but they'll use stingers to bring down airliners over Long Island Sound or Russia or Iran or Chavez or Pakistan will sell them suitase nukes bought with Saudi money. We can't fight a PC war and hope to even come to an impasse. We have to decide to get down and dirty and fast, otherwise western civilization is lost.
That's what Bibi meant when he said light one candle for the truth, use the internet and reach the dummies.
Is it His Church? Remember it was the Church leaders of Jesus Christ's time that ordered him killed. Who did He fellowship with, publicans and sinners, the ones who needed a physician. All "churches" are not always God's.
