National Republicans are condemning state Auditor Claire McCaskill's comment to a group of city Democratic elected officials this week that "George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black."

The poor of all races in New Orleans died because they were hanging around waiting on their welfare checks, which were due to come in two more days.
Stupidity breeds dependency. Dependency breeds vulnerability, and being stupid doesn't help vulnerability!
On the one hand, I hope Claire gets whooped bad and goes away this time, but on the other hand, it is nice to have a Dem in the state who doesn't mind losing to a conservative every 2-4 years in any given election.
This is really disgusting, even for a Moonbat Left Democrat. But at least McCaskill has finally shown her true colors.
This kind of chat only works if it does not get wider circulation. That game is tougher to play these days. The internet is a harsh mistress. Allen had the same problem. It hurt him. I hope, this hurts her.
I'm looking forward to the polls released after this comment has become common knowlege. Talent was already gaining, although it was still a tossup.
Race baiting is a sure sign that election season is in full swing. In the past, the RATS have done the race baiting to selected audiences. With the Youtube, they can't get away with this anymore. The MO RATS are one of the slimest state parties out there. Remember, Jay Nixon ran radio ads acussing Kit Bond of being pro-black church burning in 1998. Also the late Mel Carnahan slimed Ashcroft as a Klansman for blocking black liberal judge, Ronnie White, from being confirmed as a federal appeals judge.
Looks like Talent just won another term in the Senate.
"Claire believes the response was gross incompetence that turned tragic because so many people in New Orleans did not have the resources to help themselves," Marsh added.
IMHO, the incompetence was the city and state administration allowing the city to get in that shape.
It's looking that way, although we'll know more once polls are released in the next week or so.
The Senate really needs Talent.
I think this may very well backfire, particularly in the rural areas in the eastern part of the state.
Yes...he is a good man...not flashy, but steady.]
And, the Senate surely doesn't need some one like THIS woman in it...yuck, what a race baiter, and Bush hater.
No, they died because they were too stupid to get out. This myth that Bush let them die on rooftops because they were black is just a bunch of phoniness conjured up by screeching moonbats on websites like DummieLand and Dkos.
The stupid part of this comment is she doesn't need to play that card to carry St. Louis.
That comment can do nothing but hurt her out in the rural areas where conservative democrats are still very common in Missouri, and they don't care much for racial politics.
Claire used to sound fairly moderate in her younger days in Kansas City, but she has gone off the deep end, and sold her soul for some of that Move On money.
Between this and scandals hitting Democrat nominees in New Jersey and Washington state, Harry Reid and George Soros can't be happy right now.
"How many people did you see signalling for a helicopter while standing on top of a submerged car or truck? Or standing on top of a roof where they'd chopped a hole with that legendary axe in the attic?"
I heard estimates of roughly 20,000 in attics or on rooftops. Countless boats used. At least 1000 helicopters used over the course of the rescue. This is almost exactly the number estimated by the OEP that would be killed or need to be rescued by a major flood. That number came from the estimates for those without transportation or the means to pay for their evacuation.
I'm tired of these moonbat lefties using my home state for political gain. I was here for Katrina, and I'm right next door to New Orleans. I know what it's like to have a giant hurricane pass over your head. McCaskill is nothing more than a third-rate political hack feasting off the pain of others to win a Senate seat.
I'm sick of these people.
Did George Bush also save the 20,000 (approx.) black people rescued from rooftops?
